Great video about the imperiums navy it was always a foggy spot for me but, when battle ships have so much firepower you have to love them. There is one question I have about the firepower of the weapons of the Navy. When I looked up the joules the weapons used they said that a macro cannon uses 53 terra joules and is that a special 40k measurement system or the real life version. the reason that it's weird for me is that when I read how much that equates to, it is the equal of putting down a cup of water gently. I pretty sure I'm wrong about something because I hoped that the macro cannons did thousands of kilotons of damage. I just love a overwhelming amount of dakka.

Fairly sure its just artistic license written for the setting. I doubt any GW writer cares enough or has the know-how to translate these details into workings of actual physics. For the most part, its just written to sound fancy, I guess.

the Schwerer Gustav, the largest gun ever made with a bore of 31 inches would BERLY be considered a secondary weapon, on their capital ships there main battery could fit Firestorm-class Frigates into their barrels with more and enough room to sit comfortably.
