The Silent Sisterhood is one of my all time favorite factions of the Imperium. They are as loyal if not more so then the Sisters of battle, but with no praise or words uttered have proven their undying loyalty over and over again countless times.

@@GrimDarkNarrator They are indeed, but can you blame them? Their order has seen the best, and the worst that ALL of humanity, and the children of the Emperor have to offer. Their order has been around since the pre-mars alliance, back in the unification wars. So it would be hard for them to be open or kind to just about anyone but the custodians. But that's just my opinion ^.^

@@sinfullsight5737 Love the sisters due to the fact that they represent my motto about when serving the emperor (IRL opinion) "No prayer of devotion nor praises of reverence that have been sung has not been heard by the emperor, for the words of us mortals are hollow and meaningless, only through action and sacrifice can we truly give homage to our lord.

They are the proof why the emperor is so damn powerful. A few of these gals were enough to remove magnus' ability to use the warp, on the other hand the emperor can still use his powers in their presence.

What about chapter master Alexandros the Blind of the Sons of Dorn Chapter. He is a blank, but an unusual case. During the Tyranid invasion of their homeworld of Archea, chapter master Alexandros spontaneously manifested the pariah gene. No one knows how Akexandros got this pariah gene, but it is believed to be a gift from the Emperor. Alexandris' negative psi rating is of an extremely high magnitude. (Just a guess, but he could be chi, psi, omega, or even omega minus) Whatever Alexandros' psi rating, it was strongly negative enough to disrupt the Tyranid hivemind, saving Archea from the Tyranids.

You are referring to chapter master Alexandros the Blind of the Sons of Dorn chapter. His blank ability manifested during a tyranid invasion of their homeword of Archea. Perhaps it was a gift from Him on Terra, but noone knows for sure. His negative psi level was extrene enough to disrupt the Hivemind.

What is the justification for only having women in this group? We know the Pariah "gene" also affects males and it's so rare that you'd think they'd want _almost everybody_ they could get. With the Sisters of Battle, there's a reason given, I think: Something about the Ecclesiarchy not being allowed to keep "men under arms", so they chose women instead. But is there any reason given for the Sisters of Silence?

good question....you do have to take into consideration the fact that legion of ten thousend has only male's and there is some where deep in the lore thing where custardians and sisters fight along side one another, filling in the flaws/or rather shortcomings of the other.....like when fighting warp creatures sisters nullify warp's users, while custardians jump in and use all sorts of brooms to mop up everything....i mean as far as i know thats sort of the point of legion of ten thousand and the doom maidans......

The pessimist in me would say that its because GW wanted to provide another female-centric faction to sate the endless appetite of SJW's. Lorewise, maybe its because they got started like this and then just kept at it for the sake of tradition. You know how stuck in tradition most 40k factions are.

If you want to please me, you go the route of Ciaphas Cain with that mixed Imperial Guard regiment. Female Imperial Guard miniatures would be a great idea (and completely in line with the lore)!
