There was a nice Dark Heresy adventure about these guys. You drop down on a planet having a local succession war, with troops armed with muskets and blackpowder cannons where a few elite guards have lasguns. Some kind of weirdos have set up ship in a windmill and the locals are not fit to check out that crap.

Would love to see some official miniatures of these guys for something like Blackstone Fortress.

I absolutely agree, Blackstone Fortress has brought back the venerable Ambull and Zoat, perhaps someday we will get mini's for the Hrud, Loxatl, and Tarellian Dog-soldiers.

I'd like to see more minor xeno races in books. A scenario with a Tyranid fleet seeking to consume a race such as the Slaught or Hrud while the major races have to fight not for their own sake immediately but to prevent the hive mind gaining some of these traits from other xenos. As usual, great content GD!
@GrimDarkNarrator4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. More expanded lore for minor xenos would be great, as the potential is nearly endless.
@hazeljomurphy52774 жыл бұрын
@@GrimDarkNarrator I agree. It's a whole galaxy of potential. But I can see how it could be difficult writing minor races in when there is so much going on for the main races. There is already so much lore.

There is enough variety here for a mini-codex, Intendents and Destructors could be powerful HQ units, with all of their stealth and regeneration shenanigans. I suppose the vassal & warrior vassal constructs would be the troop choices, with the harvest construct as the dedicated transport.

I'm not sure which came first, but in The Elder Scrolls there's a race called the Sload which are slug-men which have some similarities with the Slaugth.... That being said as anyone spending any time on twitter will learn, the brain worms are real. 🙄
