I agree with most of what you say, but it's odd to pick out the UI similarities considering 99% of games with this sort of UI are set out exactly the same way. Map at the top right, party members on the left, skills at the bottom (actually Chaosbane goes bottom left which is different to most games).

Gregd351 if you liked grim dawn you probably won’t like this, grim dawn is of course a MOD of titan quest disguised as a game, it tried to improve on the trashy things of TQ. Like the snail pace of the game, and lack of story. GD also ripped off all the old ideas from TQ, and even stole some new ones from diablo 3 ( which is quite old). BUT..... it has been updated semi regularly ( mainly with expansions, and the mod community.). This game is much more fast paced, way less complex. ( grim dawn has 9 classes, and 20-30 skills each class. U dual class, AND get the constellation buffs. Yet it has maybe 6 end game builds, that aren’t just proof of concept, this game has four classes, and way less variety, but u ain’t missing much. The maps are repetitive, and the game really looks half done. So much more will be coming out shortly I assume, probably for cash. So to sum up. GD is a rip off 90% titan quest, and 10% diablo 3. ( though it’s d3 thefts are getting bigger with every expansion). But it is 4 yrs old, and had time to add features. This game is less than a week old, rips off d3 and is fast paced. The loot needs fixed. ( though grim dawn loot is infinitely worse.... no human EVER , ever has found a perfect piece of loot there, it’s a near mathematical impossibility, LET alone for your class) and I assume it will be, probably too much in a future patch, then adjusted down again, then up again etc... but that’s easy to fix. Classes as well. More will certainly come soon. Wait for sale on this game would be my recommendation, preferably one with a free expansion or two included. 50 bucks is a joke for this game, much like 30 is a joke for grim dawn. Which is why nearly everyone buys GD for 7 bucks on sale.

I have to agree with pretty much everything in this review. It feels more like an early access game that needs to get a lot of feedback and things changed and added. Being a warhammer nerd is the only reason I bought it. I have hopes for it to get improved with time like PoE did but I would not spend more then maybe $15-20 on it.

2:30 The angle is different, but other then the Boss, this is basically a direct copy of "The Butcher" in Diablo 3. The town levels here also look pretty much identical to the town in the beginning of act 5 of Diablo 3... It's so identical it's a little creepy. Like they snuck into Blizzard headquarters and copied the Old harddrives... Sad...

As a “Diablo clone” it is solidly built. It runs great, it has great lore segments, it’s not sent in the End Times, and the loot is addictive. I hope that Chaosbane gets the Diablo treatment and constantly gets updated and enhanced. I would like to see a Bretonnian Knight or maybe a Lizardman.

To add one extra thing, 4-player local co-op is supported as well as mixed groups of local and online co-op. I know Diablo also had it, but having a Player 2 next to you that was once a normal part of multiplayer games is now unfortunately a bit rare, so it's something that some might be interested in.

I'm having fun with it & will level each character to 50. But I do feel like I paid a premium for an early access game. The devs based on their roadmap (please dont be Anthem) seem like they will be adding quite a bit of content so this game could end up being good with time. If you are on the fence, wait & maybe you might get a better game at a more reasonable price

I think it’s a good game. It was fun leveling to level 50 and things started going downhill because the Endgame content is so weak. I played the game for a good 2 days enjoying it and 3rd day I felt the fun and motive disappearing and set it down ever since

I can appreciate the criticism that this game completely rips off Diablo III, but it's a little frustrating to hear someone repeatedly say "I don't know why" again and again. Uhhh, do you think Diablo III was some kind of bomb? Whatever you think of it, it did sell 30 million copies. And Diablo is such an iconic franchise that a game like this can still be called a "Diablo-clone" to this day. So, now you know why. Glad I could help.

(I like it more than PoE since I dont have the time to trade and bullshit on this game)... around 3000+ on pc also enjoyed it on vanilla... got better with RoS expasion... and artstyle is still up to date compared to these "realistic looking" modern games that lacks in STYLE... always a bunch of photo textures aplyed to 3d meshes poorly modeled... dont get me wrong I respect your opinion... but this game is much much worse.... lol Grim Dawn is the way to go but again I dont like its artstyle...

I love these rapid fires, but dude I don't think you're entirely fair with the classes. Of course an elf is going to play with as much arrow-y shit as possible, and the slayer is famous for that leap ability, etc. I agree the game is mediocre at best, but the classes behave pretty much as you'd expect them to.

I see what's wrong here: You aren't playing this in couch co-op with a group of friends. Does Diablo 3 offer that kind of a gaming experience? No, you buy D3 for different reasons, and you buy Chaosbane for the couch co-op. My 4k projector and wallscreen would be wasted on D3 but for Chaosbane they're just perfect.
