Fantastic stuff Stu. You sure have an impressive knowledge of colours that can be used on each mini. I have been cherry picking which ones you use to adapt for my own painting and over time I will likely have quite a few paints in my collection. Watching you paint up this orc is a test on my resolve about buying the upcoming battalion box but I’m going to try and stay strong for now until my pile of unpainted minis reduces 😂

Thank you mate. I’ve no doubt I’ll be tempted as well, even though I’ve said I won’t get it, but I can’t have all the armies.
@Svengar11 ай бұрын
@@MiniatureRealms exactly it isn’t feasible to have all the armies…perhaps we could settle for most of them 😂

Hi Stuart. Great model. I had a thought on how to use this guy, and your other odds and ends. Once the mercenary rules are released, group all your one off models together as a hotch-podge unit of sell swords.

Thank you 🙂. That’s a really fun idea, would be great if that was possible.

Great video! Which brush are you using here? Do you generally prefer different styles/sizes for contrast-style paints vs regular acrylics?
@MiniatureRealms5 ай бұрын
Thank you. I use my regular brushes, make sure I clean them well as thinner paint finds its way into the ferrule a lot easier. I use Rosemary & Co Series 33, sizes 2, 1 & 0 🙂

Looking good. O&G was on my list of possibles for the Old Wolrd but I decided it was going to be too much to paint.

Yeah the thought of a whole army would look amazing, but it also gives me chills 😂

@MrBlackear 😂 I guess I’m just not famous enough to gain the special time freezing powers I need to get my armies painted.

I couldn't tell - what colour did you use for the belt? I have most of the colours, and the miniatures, and might try to reproduce this. It won't be as good, but that's okay.
@MiniatureRealms8 ай бұрын
I believe it was Garaghak’s Sewer Contrast as a base.

How long do you think this guy took to the end? Looking at some orcs in my future!
@MiniatureRealms8 ай бұрын
Hmmm 🤔 it’s difficult to say as it takes me so much longer when filming. I think I could get it down to 60-75 mins if I just did one with no interruptions.

Nice job! May I ask if u use the army painter speedpaints straight out of the bottle of thinned down with the medium (especially for the skin I wonder)? Cheers!
@MiniatureRealms11 ай бұрын
Thank you. It depends on the application really, but I try to mention this as part of the instruction in the video where I do thin it. In the case of the Gillie Green for the skin, that wasn’t thinned at all.

Quick question, I got the battalion box and it appears theres only two shield arms for every 4 man orc sprue, is that on purpose?
@MiniatureRealms9 ай бұрын
I’m afraid I’m not sure, a channel viewer sent me this one for the tutorial, I’ve not seen the contents of the battalion box aside from the pictures.

@@MiniatureRealms crud, I'm not sure what to do but I think the right hands with daggers can just have the shields on them
@mcyolicjones908111 ай бұрын
Nicely done with this bunch. I'm of mind to add some fur cloaks and horned helms it but that might be too ambitious.. It will take a lot of bits. We'll see. I might have to go with some different Orcs (off the press possibly) if GW doesn't step up.

I think the Baron of Dice advert ends at 2.40 ish, that’s both sponsors of that video and the intro done in that time. Not quite 4 mins, but if you don’t like it, don’t watch, or skip it. A video like this is about 6-8hrs work. I choose to this yes, but sponsors help me afford to do it, as it is with many other content creators. Then people like you get your free content, which you can choose to watch, or not. Dude
