Aside from a job well done, the underneath part of the pelt would not be red unless the Wolf Priest had just skinned the wolf and put it across his shoulders. It would be a tanned skin color about the color of Ushabti Bone overlaid with Skeleton Horde. IMHO, that is. 😌

Thanks! The bent bits are a bit annoying, ultimately it is what is though! I love the models enough to power through that, so much nostalgia and character for the older bits!

Another great video, but a question: do you do any prep for your Space Wolves Grey? I've gotten a couple pots of it but it always comes out much darker than what I see in your videos. It almost comes out like a denim-navy color for me.

I don't do anything specific other than a very very thorough shake but I know what you mean, Space Wolves Grey is temperamental to say the least. It's why I do the Glaze as for the Wolves it's either too weak a colour or it starts to look like an Ultramarine if it's too dark. Maybe you could try adding a little Contrast Medium to try and help it come out lighter?

Hey Warhipster. Have to say you are my favourite painter/presenter for WH miniatures. Your contrast techniques have helped me to enjoy beautiful miniatures of my own so thank you! I was wondering if you could please do a tutorial on how to paint the Chaos Lord on Karkadrak using your amazing contrast methods? There is literally not one video online of how to paint this model similar to the box art, so it would be the first on the Internet, literally! Not sure why there's no more tutorials on this as it's a really popular model and the original box art style looks superb. Anyway hoping this reaches you! Ps sorry to post about an AoS model on 40k post. Just want this to pop up on your most recent upload so hopefully higher chance you see it 🙏🏽 thanks WH

Absolutely love this! I'm a space wolves fan and I love their range, is there a possibility that you would do wulfen on the preheresy colors?

I'll hopefully get to doing some pre-heresy era schemes eventually! It probably won't be on Wulfen but the techniques will be consistent across the models!

I absolutely love Warhipster, and the way he paint with the contrastpaints. One of the few on youtube who really know how to paint using contrast paints. I have to be honest though and say that this is probably the worse result i have seen on this channel. I am a SW painter/collector/player, and for me its to blochy, to chalky and lack contrast/definition. With that said, i think that the Space Wolves contrast paint is one of the worse contrast paints in the range, i have a pot of it, i have used it, and i wont ever touch it again And also, the resin models are for some reason a bit hard to paint. So that could be an explaination. Now I know warhipster to be a skilled painter, and adore him for it. And he did an excellent work on the yellow parts on Njal.
