Why does the Churchill allways remind me of World War One?
@SuperSalmon5 жыл бұрын
If I were to look at it, there are a few possibilities 1. The speed of the tank is closer to a British Mk IV, Mk V, or German A7V than a modern WW2 tank 2. The track design might resemble a WW1 tank 3. The tank is very boxy, very similar to WW1 tanks 4. Possibly the engine and track sounds remind you of WW1 tank sounds 5. The side view of the tank really does not show the axles and gears for moving the track, as well as other various tanks 6. Doing research, Churchill tanks were promoted by Winston Churchill during the First World War, as a design for British tanks 7. The Churchill tanks were designed to cross difficult terrain, which was what commanders would need their tanks to do in the Great War Now other ones that are most likely untrue for a reason..... 1. It was made by Britain, who constructed the first tanks In WW1 2. Or you play a lot of Battlefield 1 and is now obsessed with WW1 history like me Anyway, I hope I helped!
@fabiana71575 жыл бұрын

One thing that is really obvious when viewing the different tanks from different eras all together is how dinky most of the British WW2 tanks like the Valentine, Matilda etc. were. They look like toys compare to the post WW2 tanks. The Sherman and T34 not so much but the T34 does look smaller then I thought.
@jelkel255 жыл бұрын
There were size restrictions until the Comet, you had to be able to get them over existing bridges in UK and western Europe, there were problems with tanks being transported by rail in the UK as well if they were too big. I don't know if they solved the problem by Comet or just hoped there were enough road transporters by then.

They all look a bit dinky to me once the modern tanks start coming out, from all countries. I mean look at that Stuart M3 (5:47) and you're trying to say it's a British thing? Modern tanks are some seriously mean and capable looking piece of gear compared to any WWII era tank.

you lie. T-34-85 version was never produced in Ukraine. It was designed in 1943 in Russian federation when Ukraine totally was under German occupation. T-34-85 started to be in serial production since 1944 and was never in history produced in Kharkov or any other city of Ukraine. It was produced by plant No 112 (Gorky-city), plant No 174 (Leningrad) and plant No 183 (Nizhny Tagil). First crude version of T-34 (T-34-76) was originally designed and produced in Kharkov plant. Main engineers were Mikhail Koshkin (born in central Russia, under Yaroslavl-city) and Alexander Morozov(born in central Russia, Bryansk-city). But T-34-76 Kharkov plant never did serial production of the tank). Tanks of that type were mostly manufactured in Stalingrad, Chelyabinsk, Gorky, Nizhny Tagil.
