Hi Ankur, Probably for the very first time you are requesting Viewers to like , share video n Subscribe your Channel, one of you rare Videos of 26 minutes. Typically you finish in 10 minutes 😊. I Subscribed your Channel long back though I started following you on LinkedIn since Warikoo Wednesday season 1. I think it's Great Service you are doing to community and youth by giving so much wisdom, Knowledge and guidance whatever you acquired and experiencing in your life. I would love to know what will be your suggestions to small local businesses which are struggling to sustain in this covid time. As they do not have deep pockets to survive and are very much depended on the revenues generate through Customers only and now not able to serve due to physical Nature of Services they provide. How to keep employees motivated if unable to even pay them anything.

@Ankur this was really helpful and greatly recorded with tiny moments in between that broke me up in laughter. I was just curious to know your views/thoughts/ideas on philanthropic ventures. What should be our approach to start something which has a philanthropic vision like maybe a product or app or website for a good cause ?

As a matter of fact, it did. I really liked this podcaster & I engaged with his content on insta purely because I really liked his content and I wanted to share my view on it. I had no agenda & I didn't even realize that I was networking until I saw this video. And, he not only followed me back on instagram but also sent voice messages while we were discussing some topic of interest in DM. So, yeah it worked. He's now my pen pal & also a connection on LinkedIn 😇

Golden words at 6:20! I realized this myself while mailing/ connecting with people for an internship. I kept writing generic emails about me and literally no one replied. But when I had put an effort on thinking "how can the other person benefit from my work", and when I wrote in a manner which shows that "I GENUINELY WANT TO CONNECT WITH YOU", replies came (positive and negative both).

I watch a lot of content but I never commented. Today you have made me realize that if we watch something relevant or substantial why don't we share our opinions in the comment section, after all, there is nothing to lose but a lot to gain. This is the beginning of my journey to connect with people whom I appreciate listening to.

Such a good and universal topic you touch on here Ankur - in 2014, after ISB when I had joined management consulting, the word "networking" was so abused that someone like me (introvert) had literally started hating it. But over the years I have realized that if you are genuine, and you connect with people on genuine topics, be real, let your work do the talking and believe in giving as much as you want in return in that relationship, networking all of a sudden becomes easy :)

This really is one of the most ginuine talk by a Blue Tick personality I look forward to learn from. I don't know if its useful to share this or not but these thoughts aligns a lot to all of us because we ourselves know how we think about people who approach to us. This is such a basic human nature and the person on the other side is also a human same as me. But still we need a reminder to know who we are, and that's really a great one. That's for Ankur Sir Now anyone reading this comment Do read "The Third Door" by Alex Banayan its an excellent book on how a 21 year old guy build his strong networks with best of best. His success with lady gaga , bill gates and his failure to connect with Warren Buffet but his approach and journey means a lot . You will really find yourself alligning somewhere with Alex Banayan be it in the starting at by staring at the ceiling of your college dorm or while writing mails at 3am.

For some reason, building relationships always felt synonymous to nepotism. I know it sounds foolish. But I really had to unlearn a few ideas to learn that having meaningful professional relationships is healthy too. In fact, it can help you sail in the toughest times. So, it's a good thing that I took a pause to watch this insightful video before actually hitting a send button on a cold email for a total stranger. And i am relieved that finally someone explained how to network. Really grateful. Thank you Mr. Warikoo

It's lovely to see videos that you need pop up right when you are struggling to get answers for it. Very insightful, Ankur. Leaving a question for anyone in this community, and it's something that I've been breaking my head over for sometime now - How do you build your network when you have nothing to offer when compared to the other party? For example, if I were to connect with Ankur and I feel crippled by the knowledge that may be flowing towards me, what do I even say to connect? And more importantly, how do I sustain such a connection? Would love to here what some of you have to say!

Hi Ankur ji. I am immensely benefitting from your videos. Especially this video addresses my major weakness which is 'Not able to network' Though this video is not talking about or solving why I am unable to network but this video has given me so much confidence that I am actually a good networker. Because I do consider all aspects while communicating with others. What is missing in me which I assume is lack of confidence in feeling that I may be in any way helpful to others or with the person I am connecting with and not trying to connect to people only when there is a need. Need to still dig in deep and find the real issue and resolve these problems in me. Once again thank you very much Ankur ji.

Hi Ankur, Have been following all the seasons at linkedin as well as Ted talks as well. Loved your thoughts on reaching out to people and establishing the network. Other way ,what I see is when you try to connect with the person, where in there is mutual benefit to both of the,win-win situation to both. When we try to connect,it should be in a notion of a win-win situation to each other;that way connect would feel genuine..

Today I felt like I was living under a rock that I never came across your content. Thank you very very much for the content that you are putting out. Being an introvert myself, networking has actually been my weakest link. I hope to improve from the tips you've shared. Thanks a lot!

Thank you for this video. I truly struggle with this and often feel uncomfortable in asking a shared connect to act as a point of reference or in reaching out to someone who I don't know very well. Your tips are very useful.

So amazing to hear you and I feel so embarrassed that I used to do the same till last year. Send a resume and ask to check the relevant opportunities. But soon I realised that this is not going to work when I started getting the same types of message on LinkedIn. “Please Find Attached resume and let me know any relevant opportunities”. As an individual it is really a big turn off for anyone. Here are my key takeaways from this video and lesson learned 1. Don’t be so selfish to ask favour blatantly 2. Know your potential contact 3. People love themselves, so if you want them to like you, research them thoroughly Thanks you Ankur. Your journey has been inspiring. Like majority of population, you have had your hardship, yet your rose as victorious. Moreover, your content is so damn amazing, I immediately fall in love with it. Look forward to more thought provoking videos. They are super and more importantly very crisp! Stay safe and keep inspiring!
