@@raiandox It ruins the flow of the fight, Widowmaker vs Black Widow didn't even really start at the bullet clash, there was still so much windup. AquaMan vs Namor had a lot of running away in it. Megaman battle royale would have insinuated they all fought each other when they really didn't, they fought specific opponents. The battles don't need to say Fight. No battle does that in movies or shows, it would wreck the movie, why should it be done here?

They never really liked it and one of the biggest reasons was because it forced the animators to animate a stare down or some sort of pause just to give enough time for the Fight image to come and go. They just want to get straight to the fight. Honestly, I don't care that it's gone, it did nothing but simply tell people that they were going to start fighting. And I sure don't need to be told when they are about to fight.

He's taken on people far above his Weight Class (Some of which are far more dangerous and ruthless than Ivan Drago) and has taken hits that would end careers and has always been ready for the next fight, and you can tell it's in relatively close time since he stays the same age in every fight and you can tell as well before every match. Rocky has a history of head trauma and eye problems and has been overwhelmed with hard shots before and lost to Clubber Lang because of it, He only one through toughening himself out and tiring Lang to knock him out, but Little Mac has stand against foes way stronger than Clubber Lang. If Rocky was set in the world of Punch Out, he'd probably be at the top of the Major Division, First Round in World Division Tops, But Little Mac has Conquered everyone in Every Division.

Sure the firepower and the kind equipment that the two ships have is an essential part of the analysis, but the pilot is what can tip the scales

Edward Aucay not necessarily. As a fan of DC, I gotta go with Gohan for this matchup. From what I understand, Gohan is smarter and more cunning than Goku, as well as being hinted at having more potential power. Superboy, however, is more of a powered down version of Superman, starting off with only the super strength and durability. While he might have gotten the other powers in the future, he is still shown to be more callous and headstrong than Superman, which even gets him killed at one point. Basically the fight boils down to a somewhat nerfed version of Goku vs a drastically nerfed version of Superman who also is missing powers. While I like Superboy’s arc more, I would have to hand Gohan the win.
