I can only agree. Black Powder is one of the better systems for beginners. Good introduction, by the way. 😉 The figures look really good put together. 👍

I found orders of battle very helpful. Not only does it tell you what units to have in your Brigade but also types of troops very helpful for flags for regiments etc. also do your research. Also it is helpful when you expand. When i started i had no idea what regiments to create. I brought a light infantry flag for my 1st french battalion. That battalion happened to be from 3rd Corps. I now have the entire Corps.

All great points, Anthony. I'll probably do a follow-up video speaking to this point. In the case of this video, I wanted to present a simple and easy to follow breakdown of how to army build for the very new player. I think, if anything, I'll do a series of videos covering the campaign books and the orders of battle included in them. Thanks for watching and for helping to inform the next series of videos!

I hope so, Jim. Being new to Black Powder myself, having this understand helps when building beyond your first Brigade. Thanks for watching!

So the brigade commander is basically the general in the Waterloo set, lol.

Indeed as far as the Waterloo starter is concerned.

Thanks, Alex! To be honest, I also need to finish my Waterloo starter. For some reason, I haven't powered through on the British.

Great video!! I have so many Napoleonics to build. I can never seem to pull the trigger. Too many little airplanes !!!
@WarGamingNewbHistorical Жыл бұрын
Hey, Steve! You'd definitely need to set aside a bit of time to get those done. I'm just now working on my Russian Army Box but still have a ton of French and British to complete. Planes are so much easier to get through. Thanks for watching!
