Herbert Erpaderp I look forward to seeing just be careful with the tracks as they are a bit fiddly and the hull machine gun does have a bit of a gap like that panther you reviewed a while back but I personally just stuck a blob of blue tack to the inside and that sort of fixes the issue (also two responses from Herbert within two weeks! Ah life is good)
@MrPorkmann6 жыл бұрын
Herbert! You messed up with the aerial and details! You have made a unique Ausf G/H. I am pretty liberal when it comes to details but a G with l/48 barrel and H filters? *Slap*.

Frankentanks are a common thing and versions were mismatched all the time.
@trekanbelluvitsh3 жыл бұрын
Well, this kit isn't much much better than the resin/metal kit by warlord. It is much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much (etc.) better. 😃
@1Izaak6 жыл бұрын
Herbert, The hull MG is supposed to be off center, as there is a scope / aiming device next to it. You did, however, put it in upside down. The gun should be closer to the side of the tank. But no ones going to notice. :)
@HerbertErpaderp6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I doubt many people would seriously care. It looked odd either way I put it. It didn't occur to me there might be a vision or aiming device there.
@Mr_Bunk6 жыл бұрын
Hm, seems you forgot to attach the co-axial MG and drill out the exhaust pipe...ah well, it's still a great build of a nice kit! I decided to build mine as an F1, because that version is seldom looked at and I want to give it some love. However, you can only build the F1's howitzer pointing down unless you modify it to point straight like I did. Also, merry Christmas! Here's to another year of great content!

Can't wait for you to paint it. Please post if you do. I'd suggest a three tone Normandy camo. Great job building it.
@HerbertErpaderp6 жыл бұрын
I will of course post a painting video when I do paint it. I was thinking I'd paint it in a camo that would suit fighting in Russia

Hey Herbert , I noticed that you haven't done a 1/35 scale tank model in a while , if it's not too much to ask , could you do a Meng model or Tamiya model?
@HerbertErpaderp6 жыл бұрын
I don't have anything by meng, but I have kind of had my eyes on the Tamiya Char B1 bis. It won't be soon, but at some point there will be more 1/35 scale stuff.
@Lo-tf6qt6 жыл бұрын
Herbert Erpaderp nice! I hope that you'll have the chance to build that Char B1 Bis
@bageldrone6 жыл бұрын
maybe build the shurtzen first so you can line up stowage etc?
@HerbertErpaderp6 жыл бұрын
That's not a bad idea. Though, fortunately, there's not really a whole lot of stowage to get in the way.

Since the Panzer IV is one of my favorite German tanks, I'll answer some of your questions about it. The cylinders on the right fender are optional. They are the dust filter and used in Southern Russia or anywhere there was a dust problem. I'm not sure you want a can of gas sitting on the hot muffler ! The antenna should be around the corner from where you placed it. It should be just in front of the schluzen brace. The hole next to the gun barrel is the turret mg. It should have an armored cover for the barrel. Just a short length of round stock with a hole in the front and the end of the mg barrel sticking out. That's a really good looking Panzer IV kit. I didn't really notice but there should be a section of track on the transmission cover. If you don't have a part for it just cut the track on the front to fit and replace it with a bit of sheet for the welded plate added to the front there. Those funny looking parts you added to both sides of the engine deck are air vents and should have individual panels to open or close them to aid in engine cooling. A strip of sheet with scribed lines for the individual panels will show them closed for cold weather. One last thing, that is the antenna trough you put on the right side. Consider it optional. Once the antenna was moved it faded away. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from your friend in Small Town Oklahoma, USA. 🎅

The tourettes Gamer Thanks my friend. I'm always afraid that I'm writing too much but getting a comment like yours makes it worth while. I'm planning on doing my own channel soon. I'm going to move soon so I've been delayed. Subscribe to me and you can find lots and lots of WWII videos (not mine). You'll also know when I finally get my arse in gear and start making videos. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you .......

I realised the antenna was in the wrong place after I uploaded the video. The instructions look as though they're saying to put it where I did... A bit vauge I guess. Oh well. I'll just pretend good ol' fritz the factory worker was drunk when he installed that antenna. Also I seem to have misplaced the turret MG... I thought it looked a bit big for a sight. Perhaps we can explain away the piece of track that should be on the transmission cover as having been used or lost or something. Thanks for your post! Your comments are always interesting and appreciated, You've got a lot of information, so don't worry about writing a lot. It's cool.

Do you call it shirts or skirts? even using captions it seems to think you are saying shirts but this is not the only video where i have noticed this. Or are you trolling us?

Why would I call them shirts?
@HeadHunterSix3 жыл бұрын
My kit from the Konflikt '47 box didn't come with instructions. If I wasn't able to find some fuzzy shots of the sheet online the Schurzen would never have gone on properly. Naturally, I made the H, with Schurzen... because those are indisputably the best choices.

Band of brothers progress?
@HerbertErpaderp6 жыл бұрын
I haven't made much progress. I have most of the US figures built. And some German ones. I built the Hannomag. Nothing is painted. I've been focusing more on getting British and Soviet models done.

If I had the patience and the putty, I might have sculpted it onto the Schurzen... not terribly difficult, just not worth the hassle for a gaming model.
