It was nice to see Erik and Loren again . Haven’t seen those two since I left Privateer 2 years ago. I like the changes that I am hearing so far a matter a fact I like it a lot. Sounds like the game is going to be fun again.

"Trying to make the game exciting and inviting for new players to enter..." Then proceeds to make the starter boxes $200 (per faction) for a handful of 3D printed models without any supporting items like dice, rules, templates etc. Even Games Workshop offers you more enticing entry points if two guys at your local club want to check the game out. /facepalm.

It's actually one of GW's strongpoints. Should not be that hard to copy that aspect one would think.
@jackbennett63442 жыл бұрын
I dunno, 40k army boxes come out to $150.00 for 1/5 of a standard 40k 2500pt list. Where these $200 boxes are effectively 2/3 of a standard 75pt list. Additionally, the rules for Warmachine are free vs $40-80 for 40k (being faction codex and main rulebook)
@speeddemonpainting70502 жыл бұрын
@@jackbennett6344 yeah, but they actually have two player starter sets for if you want to give the game a try (also with some of the rules included in the box) This would be a $400 investment to have a standard 1v1 game to have a go. I saw that and immediately went: NOPE! Especially not for about 20-25 3D printed repeat pose models... Even if some of them come with various weapon options. It's just not very appealing.

So, wargamers don't like to talk about economics but Infinity Code One starter is 125 dollars. With rampant global inflation and the incoming energy crisis in Europe, and the most recent GW call, I wouldn't be surprised if 2 player starter for 10th ed is anywhere between 500-1000 dollars. You can count on that.
@Terroreyes-j8l2 жыл бұрын
@@speeddemonpainting7050 with on coming inflation and Russian winter in Europe, let's see if you sing the same tune when 10 ed. 2 player boxes range between 500 - 1000 dollars. It will be good times.

Warmachine will hopefully pick up more as more new stuff comes out - love the world and minis

8:20 ish. that would have been remedied already by having complete chassis kits, but if you look at the classic light convergence vectors with 3 different packages for, essentially, swap out mods; or units with the same torso but different weapons in different packages, PP put itself into that corner BY CHOICE. why is the guy whose name is apparently "privateer press" seemingly reading off a script? 29:55 ish. why would a store be willing to use a demo kit after near-invalidating their current stock? also, stores were not treated particularly well outside the us. 34:50 ish. and that took you 10+ years to figure out? talk about slow.

Will any of the Legacy blisters moving to 3d printing or just the new MK4 designs? All of my local shops cleareanced out their stock of Warmachine/ Hordes so there isn't much to work with for players outside of the brand new armies.
@flameknightdragon2 жыл бұрын
they are not. when they run out of the stuff to make legacy models they are gone for good.

It looks everybody is simplifying. I don't know why this trend, but in Warmachine I see it was necessary.
@cyriltournier57842 жыл бұрын
Not sure why you think so. Mk3 simplified a lot already. And sadly many people left during that time (though there are plenty of other factors, like GW's situation, PP's problems with distribution in Europe, PP's lack of visibility now that the number of games on the market has increased a lot, etc.)
@kensaiix2 жыл бұрын
not really imho. they would need to have proper wording choices for the rules though.

Well I am curious in seeing how this all plays out because of the 3d printing. I have zero interest in PP after what they did with mk3's launch. but they could not leave well enough alone and they followed up mk3 by tossing ret in the dumpster I have been deep in the infinity tank ever since. Aleph and tohaa mainly.

Nothing to me compares to the fun I had in mk2 and mk3 warmahordes, but Infinity is a lot of fun. THe problem is: it's a completely different game. Nothing can really be compared to its ARO system.

Agreed. The only thing I buy from PP are their paints.

Willing to bet it'll stay dead and look like trash at tourneys due to community "preferences".
@StormWildSpace2 жыл бұрын
Last time I looked into the games I learned quickly that the community was really toxic. I was playing 40k on the next table and the guys playing warmachine argued and called each other names. Plus I saw a lot of bases without minis... Wth?!
@tnterica45992 жыл бұрын
Hey Melanie! Unfortunately, that's a story us in the WM community hear all to much. Definitely most noticed between MK2 and 3. Most WM communities are working hard to reverse that stigma and promote good sportsmanship and fun. Speaking from the NE USA, our metas here are putting our communities and player experience first. We want to reverse that negative cloud that has surrounded our game :)
