Really glad to hear that the rules are moving away from designing iconically-powerful units such as Chaos Knights as intentionally overcosted! The design space of unit limits already provides a much more effective method for preventing unit over-use and it's good to see that being utilised.

Thank you and the team so much! I really enjoy this, i hope these updates are implemented to the rule book. Do you think keywords would help the rulebook? Such as the ambush mechanic in Beastmen and Wood elf Waywatchers. Same as rockets, bolt throwers and giant rules. I think it would just reduce pages. (sorry if this has already happened, im not the best listener at times).

I do like that some units are being turned into single base addons. It helps some of the unit bloat that affects some lists.

I though you were going to reduce the points cost of the temple guards from 110 to 105 due to the negative rule of cold blood. I also would love to see a limit increase from 1 to 2 but well it seems that they do not have place in the game yet...

I did not see this proposed on the experimental forum. Can you remind me where it was posted? Comittee members only have 3 proposals each year so we select the most popular. If there is sufficient evidence from player feedback that a change is needed it will get proposed.

Ah yes, I do remember it. Unfortunately I used my proposals up on more pressing issues this year. Tell you what, why not raise it as a seperate issue on the experimental forum and we can gather some player feedback. I'll do the same on the rules committe forum. I'd be interested to see how many lizardmen players do take temple guard.

I always thought dwarf missile infantry was as sturdy as other standard dwarf line infantry. Dwarf quarrelers and thunderers could be relied on to not immediately fold under shooting and in line warfare.

The extra hit per stand and armour save certainly makes thunderers and rangers far more sturdy than other missile units such as empire or elves.

@@iainmstanding I'm still not used to how WFB units are translated to Warmaster. I always think of quarrelers as medium armour with no shield. But any armour save is always better than no armour save. And an extra hit per stand sounds like how Warmaster approximates higher Wounds and Toughness.

I find warmaster a little bit too complex (especially the extensive combat rules). I would prefer it to be more like Hail Caesar, a later variant.

Do you play WMR? What you describe has got more to say about the way it's explained in the books, actual gameplay is pretty straightforward

@@petrhovado5590 I played Warmaster a couple of times, but I always found Hail Caesar similar but much more refined and modern. Its not nearly as complex as warmaster. One of the reasons wm was not successful was IMO the convoluted overcomplex (for this type of "warhammer style" games) combat system. Hail Caesars is simpler, faster and more fun while still offering the 2 elements which I like in WM - the simple unit statline and the order system. WMR is not much different than the original, maybe its a little bit better and has learned from the shortcomings of the original, but its still not good enough for me. The devs didnt dare to tackle the bigger issues of old WM, IMO. And speaking of good game systems in this style. There is fantastic new game rule from the Perries and Jervis Johnson I think. Valor and Fortitude is its name. Currently there are only Napoleonics and ACW but in future there will be medieval rules too. V&F is again much better than Hail Caesar so I will switch completely with my warmaster collection to this masterpiece when the medieval rules are released.

Players complained loudly that they were broken with too many artillery units. So the limit was restored.
