The project follows in the vein of Anima Sacra, which in 2018 decisively announced the countertenor’s arrival as a recording artist. Its program - music by Zelenka, Handel, Fux, and the little-known Gennaro Manna, Francisco António de Almeida, Bartolomeo Nucci, and (on the LP version) Davide Perez - contains several world premiere recordings. Joining Orliński in Zelenka’s sparkling ‘Laetatus sum’ is the captivating soprano Fatma Said, and Francesco Corti conducts the orchestra and chorus of Il Pomo d’Oro.

I'm a fan Jakub and have always followed your performances, including workshops and love that you challenge the tradition of classical singing being snobby and exclusionist for white middle class or aristocracy only and physically always so physically rigid by never letting them stop you from break dancing and hip hop dancing which means that at last young people and kids from working class backgrounds are actually engaging with it, this is priceless! In my mind it is absolutely certain that your greatest work to date since video in mansion of Vedro con mio diletto is your work with the first classical singer I have seen of Persian decent, in fact the only eastern classical singer I know of bar one but doesn't she make up for the wait?! What a beauty, such a sincere, graceful voice. Very exciting. Fatma has reignited your magic, behold!

Yes, countertenors voices are like anybody elses voices, they don’t speak with a high pitch and mostly their natural singing voices are anything from tenor to baritone. The falsetto voice is a learned, acquired technique. Jakub’s natural voice is, I think, a baritone. I hope that is right and it helps explain.
