Kettlebell Swings are a great exercise but if done incorrectly they can cause a significant amount of lower back pain. In this video we' do a deep dive into the three most common mistakes I see people make that lead to lower back pain.
Bonus: At the end of the video I try to swing 106 lb Kettlebell for the first time. It didn't go as planned!

Not proper form. Arms need to be straight. Not pulled back in a semi row.

@@empowerhp ​​⁠ ​​⁠body weight exercises and common mistakes, push ups, dips etc. I personally struggle to know if my form is correct and if it’s targeting the right muscles, specifically wrist popping/pain during dips 😊 Also, I’ve looked at your knee exercises series and I think it’s incredible!! I sent it to my mum this morning, she has a very specific case though where she doesn’t want to run because of the pressure on her knees; she thinks it's shin splints, but could be muscle imbalance, I’m not sure if she would be able to get down on the floor to do some of the exercises in that series, but wondered if the runner’s knee exercise would help consolidate the hamstring and glute muscles in her leg to enable her to be pain free during higher impact exercise? sorry if this is a long question :) Keep up the great work Dr clayton and co. You’re truly amazing!!

Thanks for the great ideas!! I'll definitely make a video on those. Have you check to see if she has flat feet? If she does, check out the flat foot videos. The runners would be extremely helpful as long as its actual knee pain and not shin splits. @@Maxiadam1

Straighten your arms. They should not be bent during a swing, they should essentially just be hanging semi loose connecting your body to the bell like two ropes or cables. They are not actively used during a swing. You’ve turned it into a semi -row, hinge.
