Yeah. Real noticeable thud and it lands on its side like a ton of bricks, while the actual empty one used in the GM clatters and bounces. Not to mention they were most certainly not "same angle". @joshkaplinger13826 жыл бұрын
Crispy Jimmy - My stepdad's niece was in a car commercial like this for Chevy I'm pretty sure, but I'd assume it works the same way for other car companies. Basically, a bunch of people sign up to be in these commercials, the car company records all of their reactions without actually telling them exactly what to say (hence the reason why they can get away with saying that these people are "not actors"), and then the best clips are chosen and the people in them then get paid. So, they don't actually tell them what to say or how to act, but everybody knows to act like they are amazed by the car and surprised by their performance because it's the only way that their clips will be chosen for the final version of the commercial, and obviously the only way that they'll get paid.

Now Dodge has taken over second place from Chevy. I have to admit that I bought a Ford F150 in August 2019. I had no clue about a pick up truck of any kind. I leaned towards a Toyota or Nissan because they are "Japanese". I could not find one in my price range. I have never had a truck and very little use for one is why. My wife insisted that I buy myself a truck. I have limited use for one but when you need it there is no substitute. The Ford was my first brand new vehicle bought since 1986. So far it has had a leaking windshield and the navigation has a "known issue" that Ford is supposed to fix. The known issue is the voice breaks up like "in the next..........................................................half mile tu.......................................rn right and then turn right. How can you load bad software into millions of vehicles and have to come back later and fix it? Heck my uncle is a master technician at the ford dealership and he said that after working on fords every day for decades he wouldn’t buy a ford to save his life. He gets an employee discount on fords and he still wouldn’t buy one. He says that chevys are way more reliable than fords, all he drives are chevys. Every time one of my family or friends have a ford they constantly end up in the repair shop. Theres no reason a 1966 chevy should still be running just fine while a 2000 ford has been broken down for years. My grandpa used a quarter tone 2 door chevy to pull a loaded semi truck and trailer out of a muddy shallow ditch one night because the two fords ahead of him tried and couldn’t even get the semi to budge. My grandpa got the job done on the first try with ease. I’m sorry but my whole life i have seen fords fail time and time again but the Chevys always got the job done. If you choose ford over chevy you are missing out on a great vehicle so that you can drive an unreliable hunk of junk that will leave you stranded on the side of the road. But don’t worry, a chevy will be there to make sure you get home safely. Just don’t ask a ford owner to tow you home because if you do then both of you will be stranded on the side of the road. Luckily for you, even if you have two fords broken down, you will still only need one chevy to get you both home. After all, ford does stand for Found On Road Dead. Just remember, if you want to arrive on time I suggest you drive a chevy. If you want to support your local towing business you should buy a ford.

Automatically, in that comment I’m saying that aren’t overcharging as much as you think they are. Secondly, every time a vehicle goes up a couple thousand it’s due to something new. In these past few models they have switched to a family of new engines, an aluminum body, new body styles, new transmissions. Etc.. If you think all of this has come with no retooling then go buy a truck from 2006 and just put on everything from 2020. Reusing all the same bolts and nuts. A licensed contractor also, I put 875 square feet of laminate flooring in the bed, had whole bed filled with old treated wood from stairs and a deck, one time I had 1000 pounds in just bags of cement, while pulling a one man auger post hole digger with all the other tools needed for the job and didn't slowed a bit or seem to be a problem. Kevin Lee let me ask you this then and it could be relevant or it could be irrelevant. Why is it that some of the weight savings from the aluminum body is being used to beef up the strength on the steel frame? Is that steel considered stronger than aluminum or would it cost too much to make the aluminum alloy stronger than the steel frame?

dogfacesoldier1234 It’s not necessarily a bad idea it’s just not going to hold up for heavy-duty construction stuff, and Chevy is only doing the hood, door skins, and the exterior of the tailgate not the bed. Steel beds are definitely stronger and they’re not gonna punch a hole like the aluminum wheel, and whatever this video says they do get holes punched in them, but aluminum doesn’t rust like steel and will be strong enough for most people.

Real Actors Not People
@Aaron.Reichert6 жыл бұрын
Actors are by technicality real people. However they are being paid by Chevy to be in a commercial, there is not attempt to hide what they want their reaction to be. That qualifies them as actors in my book. They all know they would be risking their pay and chance to be in the commercial if they call them on their bull shit so just play along. Why risk it if they will just scrap your take and replace you with another dolt willing to play along.
@VincentNacon6 жыл бұрын
It's possible that they are indeed real people, just not being paid for anything at all. All Chevy need to do is record bunch of people going through this and then their editors pick out the best one that suits their ads.

It's been hit by a truck with a 12" liftkit, a Colorado, and an Altima, and it barely has any damage at all. The other day a hailstorm came through. 3 Chevys in the parking lot got dents everywhere, and broken windshields (and were all facing different directions.) The only dents on my ford are from my knuckles when I punched the trunk one day after smashing my thumb with a sledgehammer, and my windshield is still mint. I'll keep my Ford, and that's coming from someone that hated them before I owned this car.

Did anyone else notice how in the ford truck the tool box doesn't rlly bounce it almost lands immediately and in the chevy it rolls and bounces several times after it hits the bed
@gmcoutlaw76986 жыл бұрын
Jacob Sidden Vlogs could be weight difference or something most ppl dont think about which is the steel vs aluminum. Steel allows for bounce meaning it doesnt have play. No coke can effect. Aluminum does. If the weight was constant for both beds it still wouldn't have penetrated the chevy bed. But if both trucks still have the aluminum bed then they would both do the same.

I can tell you Ford has way more body issues, as well as Rust issues than most manufacturers. Ford quality has gone down hill, thus why I drive a Silverado. Ford keeps me in business. @Mr02kota4 жыл бұрын
@@biosaber585 to be fair tho, for the most part you can get similarly equipped trucks for fairly comparable prices. There are more factors to truck sales than just who makes a better truck. Fuel economy, peoples ability to finance, market offerings, fear or lack thereof in the economy....plus you can only sell so many new trucks before there are already enough new trucks on the road and people dont have a need for a new one...then sales numbers start dropping. There are too many units being sold to make blanket statements about the cause of sales numbers.
