Im gonna go for the seemingly unpopular opinion: This modchart is great. Seeing the others on Acai's stream highlights, I have been craving absurd modcharts. Stuff like this is it. Completely over the top, flashy, mega-distracting, but not too hard on the difficulty. This is exactly what i have been wanting and it is immensely satisfying to finally find a chart like this.

A few suggestions for Modcharts: - Don't make the video with tons of crazy colors: it makes it hard to read notes - Less is more. Have a few mods and stick to them. Don't do all the things just because you can. - The notes should ALWAYS be visible. It's no fun if it's absolutely impossible to FC it without guessing.

Honestly I dig modcharts and all, but it would really be nice if they didn't make visuals so jarring and difficult to see that you literally are forced to miss several notes because they're too busy being whipped around the screen for you to even know they exist.

I mean, the whole point of mod charts is to increase difficulty by making notes difficult to read. That is literally the purpose of mod charts. You can trace things back to the mods in DDR where you had effects like notes spinning as they moved up the screen (which forces you to rely on the column rather than note shape), moving side to side (forcing you to focus on shape) and other such effects, all of which were designed to make reading more difficult. Just look at some of the ITG/stepmania mods like the undertale ITG charts, windeu hates you, etc. All of those charts use mods which are incredibly difficult to read, sometimes to the point of effectively requiring memorization. Not everything needs to be FCable on sightread.It's fine for some portion of mod charts to effectively force memorization, just as long as it's not all of them. But modcharts are pretty new in the realm of GH, aren't they? It's going to take a while before modchart authors really figure everything out and come to a consensus on what's considered acceptable/standard for modcharts.

@@arctictropic1147 If you wanted perfect readability, you shouldn't be playing modcharts. The entire point of modcharts is to make it more difficult to read. There are several examples of Modcharts in ITG (Taro412 for example) That use very similar effects, but you don't see anyone complain about readability because readability is not the point of these charts. Memorization of a chart is just another tool that players need to use if they really want to FC something.

Exactly, regular charts test your ability to play difficult patterns, mod charts test your ability to read or memorize difficult visual effects, usually with much simpler patterns to actually execute instead. It's a completely different approach to difficulty.

I agree with mostly that is being said on the comments and I wanna add that the charts themselves (the notes) aren't that complicated if not for the visuals. Don't make invisible the gems and you will see that most "Modcharts" are pretty easy without all the crazy shit going on. That being said I love modcharts that are visually attractive while being somewhat playable like Outer Solution and the Guitaroo Man one becuase they are mostly about seeing the notes in a different way instead of filling the screen with so many visual effects that almost forces you to drop the combo.

i think the modchart compliments the song and video well there is a section where the video freezes and reverses and the track does the same there is a section where the video switches between many angles that it shows the train from so the track moves around the screen changing its angle there is a section where the train is vibrating on the rails so the track vibrates too, at the same time there are lines that go past the train so there are fake notes that reflect those lines there is a section where the video shows something shiny traveling in space so there are star notes that are flashing in rainbow colors
