I first read his stuff after Blind dwellers video on Kago and after the Mongolian horse series, I can confidently say that he is the manga equivalent of someone like Meatcanyon in the in the way that it has points while being kinda all in jest. Morbid,graphic,crass ducked up jest and I’m probably gonna buy one of his Artbooks next time I go to Kinokuniya

I'm so glad you liked some of his works. I've been a big fan ever since I've found a disturbing manga iceberg and was just addicted to his grossout stories that are riddled with absurdism and violence. His art where he's just expressing himself is still my favorite though seeing the way he twists bodies and still manages to mix cute and grotesque in this unholy armory really made me read more ero-guro/guro artists and the meaning and ideas of their works. I recommend Suehiro Marou, his work is depraved and shocking but beautifully drawn, and as always please be careful and don't read if you're sensitive to gore, violence, sexual assault and war.

I would highly recommend "The Masked Man" to read Usogui Manga. It's amazing, literal goosebump moments and many twists. It's a psychological manga. Please do read and make a review video on it. I really want your opinion on this manga and its manga writer.

I think you should read jigoku no kisetsu I think it's something like compilation of 10 stories made by 9 manga artists and each one of the artists have 1 story except Shintaro Kago (he has 2 stories)

The first I read of Kago was the Drunkard Condo Syndrome over a decade ago. It was wild, creepy, and while there was nudity, none of it turned you on 😂 That's the first time I ever experienced "erotic horror" that he is known for. Personally I think he just pushes the limits of what we think when we think of "body horror". He really is underrated and wish he got some support like Ito but his stories are so absurd I can see they won't appeal to most unless you willing to step outside of your comfort zone. How does a building full of people end up dead the next morning with no building in sight and looks like they all fell from a great height? 🤔😂😂

5:18 I've always found it funny how pretty much all artists that aim to "shock" the audience with dark themes and gory/gross imagery do the "imagine abortion but everyone does it all the time for their own pleasure" Like there's such an obvious "imagine if someone put something inside you and you were forced to give birth to it without your consent" easy scary story but they go with the unrealistic and impossible plot all the time

​@@745teyeg no that's not what I think of all pregnancies, this is specifically on how to turn the concept of birth and fetus into horror It's not that it isn't scary, it's just a pattern I noticed where good authors/writters/developers generally take the idea of pregnancy in the "what are the horrors of pregnancy" perspective while most artists that rely on shock value go for the "oh everyone does abortions non stop" angle that you could probably just copy from a fox news segment

Every western horror movie now is about birthing the devil or how such and such will birth the antichrist or they want her to be a vessel for a demon. It's one of the most overused horror trope and I've never seen a fresh take on it since Rosemary's Baby. Meanwhile the abortion angle is rare, who tf ever goes "yeah lets make a story where women get abortions in crazy and weird ways which manifest as couture fashion"? 😂

If there are some graphic abortion horror mangas please let me know. it's nice to feel sane sometimes and see abortion actually painted in a realistically horrifying angle. Lots of cultists do harp on abt how abortion should be common and practiced by everyone. Usually downplaying any and all "tragic" angle of it.
