Invest half your money in an S&P 500 ETF and half picking stocks. You will soon realize to not pick stocks.
@joseeduardolopez72875 жыл бұрын
David Pat if you don’t know how to analyze and find the value of a stock then yes I agree with you, invest in an ETF, on the other hand if you do understand what you are doing picking individual stocks is the way to go. It all depends on your level of knowledge and preparation.

Jose Lopez index/ mutual funds are great due to security, I believe. I’m new at investing, and I’ve lost some of my investment... but the point to it all brotha is... there is no quick cash. Find value>invest money (hopefully they have dividends)>sit on it For example.. DONT invest in oil. As an amateur value trader, you can EASILY see the lack of value... but you can easily reason why... that’s the value. The numbers help, but sometimes it won’t predict the long term
@T3hTroll5 жыл бұрын
Same can be said about value investing... sometimes people value the wrong things... like oil

As someone who has been to Austria a few times, and Germany more (although I'm certainly not claiming to be an expert) and speaks pretty decent German, and is even not too bad at understanding Austrian dialect (while it is 'still' German, they can be quite different and hard for even Germans to understand Austrian, and vice versa), this fellow has a stronger accent than the majority of Germanic speakers' English that I've heard, but I would wager that easily more than 3/4 of you would do worse(if you even speak a second language (assuming native English speakers)), so maybe keep that in mind in the future. It does seem like any time there's a specific question about how buy/sell decisions are made, they kind of dance around it without giving too much of real substance though...

- Learn to accumulate knowledge over time by reading daily publications, weekly or monthly periodicals, annual reports, and 10-Ks to build a useful knowledge base for investing. - Avoid solely relying on talking to managements or projections for evaluating businesses; focus on public documents such as annual reports and 10-Ks for more reliable information. - Emphasize the importance of waiting for the right opportunities ("fat pitch") similar to how good hitters wait for the right pitch before swinging in baseball. - Aim to understand businesses in aggregate rather than focusing on the nuances of every single one within a conglomerate like Berkshire Hathaway when assessing investments. - Stay prepared for potential chaotic market scenarios as they can create significant investment opportunities, showcasing the importance of being ready for uncertainties.

Funny how bunch of monolingual Americans laugh about the guy's accent. 70% of you fail to use they're and their correctly while typing. For some people it is very hard to learn a foreign language yet they succeed (more or less). Try to learn German before mocking the others who actually learned your language.
