In this video legendary value investor Warren Buffett talks about how to invest small amounts of money and generate high investment returns. Warren Buffett is a billionaire investor and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway.
I just came across a long lost clip of Warren Buffett explaining the exact three things he would do to generate 50% annual returns if he was investing with little money. If you want to build real wealth, you need to see it. There is an old saying that it “takes money to make money”. This saying may be true, but the amount of money you need to get started generating high returns is not as much as many would believe, according to Buffett.
There are three important principles you need to understand if you want to follow Buffett’s advice on generating high returns, with little money.
The first principle is to avoid competition. As demonstrated by Warren Buffett’s net worth, investing can be extremely lucrative if done well. As a result, it attracts the best and brightest from all across the globe. This is a bad news, good news situation. The bad news is that the world of investing is filled with tens of thousands of incredibly smart, ambitious individuals. These people went to elite schools and have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of making money in the stock market. This group is willing to work 80-100 hour weeks in order to try to find attractive investment opportunities. This is not a group that most people should try to compete against. So I’m going to let you in on a secret. The good news is that if you are watching this video, and follow Buffett’s advice, you don’t need to.

The expense ratio for qqq is a little high compared to what’s out there. XLK will give you exposure to tech and the expense ratio is half of what QQQ is. Lately, I’ve been doing half into VUG and half into XLK but I have a bunch of other stuff too. Tech has been the best performing sector of the S&p overall for a while.

This is not financial advise, but what I do is stay in for the long haul, but invest in ETFs and REITs that have a history of always paying dividends no matter what the economy. The market will crash and go back up and crash again. The long haul looks at many years. However, we still need to know when to fold them. Can company x survive a 14 year economic down turn? This looking at what happened in Northern England during the Thatcher years. Which is company K or Q the companies that paid dividends regardless of the economy? I like to diversify some, but I still do more focusing on key stocks. Yes, I will do some bonds and CDs, with the CDs being laddered so that I have income every month. I reinvest in a new 1 year CD if I don't need the funds. CD dividends go back into CDs. ETFs I look for King and Queen stocks like VTI and Coca Cola's KO. These are stocks that will generally survive. VTI might be riskier, but their stock keeps going up in price. I then will look for an ETF that is low in price that I think is owned by a company that will survive economic apocalypse and come out on top in the upper middle to lower top range. There is a difference between Options Trading, Day Trading and buy them and hold them. Keep this in mind. You can lose the shirt on your back doing Day trading, so I don't. Look at the customer reviews on a company as to whether customers are generally happy or generally not happy with them. That means the product may be risky as a stock to buy into and that the company may go down as a scam. REITs - I look at housing trends, home office trends, trends in senior living, stores, offices and so on. Then, I try to find REITs that are invested in something that looks long term sustainable, in that I know it will be a good stock for the next 20 years. I don't try to get the best and greatest, but instead try to find the Character Actor type stocks - the stocks that I know will always succeed even though they aren't succeeding at the top of the pack. Look at Adrien Brody. He own an Oscar and was in many movies but you don't hear much of him at all. It is as if he doesn't act anymore. Turns out, he became a character actor and keeps a steady income coming in. This is how it is with REITs. You want to find the one that is steady and just keeps on keeping on.

Buffet said A company is worth its life time accumulated cashflow. Look for market caps significantly below its lifetime value. Earnings can be manipulated and projections can be untrustworthy so you have to read Ben Graham’s security analysis to understand how to cut through that stuff The companies that can last 100 years are going to earn a lot more than other companies which is why Buffett likes Coca Cola because if it grows it’s earnings by 10% at 7 years it’ll return double earnings 14 years 4x earnings 21 years 8x earnings 28 years 16x earnings and 35 years 32x earnings. So in a little over 35 years it’ll be earning so much money that it will return 100% per year on your initial investment for every year and soon you’ll get a dividend that exceeds your initial investment if you are willing to wait a very long time. But investing in the S&P or treasuries might also produce that. So you have to “discount” that future lifetime value to the alternative. In other words if the overall S&P will produce 10%, you need companies that will grow by more than that. Or that are priced low enough relative to its earnings that if it grows to a 20x PE or something that it’ll appreciate in price by more than that. And you don’t want to use someone else’s projection or get hung up on growth rate since if a company isn’t high quality it cannot hang onto its profit margins and projected growth and/or it won’t be in business for long enough to have value

How would he know to invest with little money. What they are good at is taking the little money you have left. Remember that a stock is a big bucket. The rich throw money in, price goes up, the dumb follow and throw in their money, the price goes up, the rich pull out the money along with yours, price crashes, then you take out your pennies at a huge loss. Rinse and repeat.

The vast majority of retail investors focus on large, blue chip companies. Not the smaller companies referenced in this video

Notice that the channel makes money with a sponsorship. If it was so easy to make money by going to moomoo and filtering criteria then this video wouldn't exist to sell advertisement.

@@000EatMan000I am not sure the implication was that it is as easy to build wealth as a couple of filters on a screener. That is just the start. If you watch some of her other videos, it will become clear the time, knowledge and effort good investing requires.

@chrisn7188 This video is an ad for a service disguised as investment advice. If it worked well and the channel had found an advantage in the market, then why would they give away the secret to make it that much less effective to use themselves? If the answer is... because it isn't really that effective in the first place... then why does this video exist? Because it's an ad.

I have given Buffet a pass till his Geico raised my rates 20%, switched immediately to Progressive for a 70% savings. Thanks Warren, I guess. I do know that I’m getting out of anything tainted by B. Looks like a money grab is going on as the old man ages.

I feel investors should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises of plummeting stocks which were once revered and i don't know where to go here out of devastation

Safest approach i feel to tackle it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown. its important to seek the guidance of an expert

Agreed, It's essential to diversify your portfolio. While quality stocks are a solid foundation, you should also consider other assets to spread risk. Thankfully, I can attest to the success of this approach aided by professional guidance seeing my portfolio of $330k grow by 15% this year alone... maybe you should do the same.
