The best course of action if you lack market knowledge is to ask a consultant or investing coach for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my port-folio to about 65% since January, even though I know it sounds obvious or generic. I believe that is the most effective way to enter the business at the moment.

Munger and Buffett have both achieved an incredible feat with Berkshire. They've turned thousands to billions, and have made a lot of people wealthy in the process. I really saw the potential of the stock market by reading Berkshire's annual letters. I recently sold my $674k apartment in the Bel Air area and I'm hoping to throw it into the stock market. I just don't want to lose everything.

Most newbies either do not understand the power of compound interest, or are just impatient. For the average Joe, however, I think it is just best to invest in the S&P 500, and just wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long-- lots of years. Or just use a professional analyst and speed up wealth creation. Most people underestimate the power of the latter.

If bankers mismanage assets and take on excessive risks, and at the same time sell stocks before defaults in addition to paying out bonuses, why should they stop if they always get bailed out. These people belong in jail, if not expect more bank failures.

Global financial markets have been significantly impacted by SVB's demise, prompting investors to sell off bank equities hastily and reevaluate their interest rate expectations. I am a $350,000 investor who is at a crossroads and wondering if it is wise to hold onto securities that are losing value. I want guidance on the best approaches to maximizing my returns in this negative market.
@alexyoung3126
@alexyoung3126 Жыл бұрын
It is unlikely that the market will experience big gains anytime soon in light of the latest developments involving SVB, therefore it is prudent to set reasonable expectations and get ready for a potentially protracted recovery period. It is advised to postpone making big investment decisions until the economic climate in areas of concern has stabilized. It is best to take precautions and stay out of the current disturbance.

During market downturns, investors should remain committed to reputable companies by maintaining or growing their investments, as well-managed businesses eventually regain their former strength. To find the best entry and exit points for long-term gains from stock appreciation, get advice from a financial expert. Gains from working with an investing advisor can be substantial, as was demonstrated during the pandemic when a gain of $530k in just 8 months was realized.

The real underlying reason regulators allow banks leeway to decide what’s Held to Maturity is they need banks to buy government debt. If everything was marked to market all the time, you’d give banks much less incentive to mismatch assets and liabilities in the way Buffett is talking about here.

Yeah because the fed has basically guaranteed zero loss on treasuries that banks bought. Banks that buy a bond right now can flip it over to full end distribution gains at the expense of losing the duration interest. It's a prop job of the banking sector 100% and the fed has said it's a 1yr loan meaning rates will likely be lower if not 0 in less than a yr from now.

It's great to hear Warren Buffett's positive outlook on the safety of deposits in the United States. However, it's important to keep in mind that investing in any financial institution does come with certain risks. As you noted, it's crucial for individuals to conduct their own research and due diligence before choosing where to place their money. It's also wise to diversify investments and not solely rely on one institution. By taking these steps, individuals can make informed decisions and better protect their finances.

It seems he was asked to say something that he doesn’t believe it. It is obvious from his hesitation and body language. He tried to made up his previous statements about banks being an influencer. He ran with his dollars to another market 😢. My humble advice is to invest your money in real assets instead.

He is lying. There's some element of truth, but as for banks and not benefitting from the federal Bank is a total lie.

Mr. Buffet buy all crypto companies for only 5 billion and dismantle them. Have disclosure they will not make another company. Berkshire becomes 1 million stock per share from 500 K. The stock market and jobs and America will become the Greatest it's ever been and You will double You Money :)

Amazing how Buffet can talk so much and say so little, no specific illustration , just generalizations that really don’t educate us.
