'The Warren' is one of the best examples of a forced perspective diorama setup I've seen in long time. Outstanding work.

i think its brilliant and seems that smaller the layout the more is focussed on the detail and there was still alot of interesting running on it

Not so great when you think of all the slow-as-a-snail movements that went on, 00 gauge style. I'm used to seeing pristine 00 gauge steam engines and pristine rolling stock flying along, all the way round, and with every track taken up express passenger and goods train styles. Dioramas are not the way to grab a crowd's attention, they're dull and boring, plus no engine can go anywhere. Where's the fun in that? Nice to see 46521, a model I've got Hornby Railroad style, but she's got the wrong couplings. She should have the NEM couplings. And what's with the Jinty without a funnel? Of course, the pace was picked up with N Gauge steamies, which is the way to grab one's attention. Why can't 00 gauge modellers do the exact same thing? Where's their sense of the excitement of watching steam engines and coaches flying along at a good fast pace? Let's hope there's a lot more excitement 00 gauge style next time.
