I was born in 1957 so this was over when i was a child, but one time I was in a department store with my mom and a woman next to us reached over and her sleeve went up and there was a tattoo on her arm. I was alarmed because I never saw a tattoo or knew what one was and in shock, I asked my mom (right infront of this lady, I was only a small child) why that woman has a mark on her like that. my mom got really embarrassed and said because your dad volunteered to go to Germany, he rescued people with this mark their arms from Germany. When the Europeans 'discovered' America there were an estimated 16 million indeginous people living here. By 1894 there were an estimated 350,000 left. THAT was the biggest genocide in the world. Even Abraham Lincoln was part of a regiment that slaughtered men women and children that were members of the Sauk tribe that were traveling to their planting grounds near what is called Chicago today. If people don’t understand how brutal it was just because it was blurred then something is wrong with you or you didn’t pay attention. It’s very disrespectful to the victims to show them in that horrible way. I feel like most people have this weird obsession to see these horrible images/videos. We all know what happened. You can picture it yourself. If you want to see these things watch certain movies. The blurred images does not mean that it didn’t happen or it wasn’t as bad. It’s sick to whine about not seeing torture these people went through. It doesn’t make these videos not accurate. If you only take these things seriously when you see the horrible images out in the open, then something is seriously wrong with you. There is so much proof out there that this has happened. @@mtb3803 No one denies that nothing happened just because the images are blurred, it's just that the way most history documentaries these days blur important images is a misrepresentation of what happened. And this habit has gotten into even modern crime reporting. You see someone who mass short kids in a school and on TV they blur the images. I bet that if Nazis were defeated now, the media would blur their faces because somehow it is respectful to both the victim and the criminal. I don't want that, I hate that, and many people do. Show the world everything, it's not about making the verbal information more legitimate but about plain old journalistic and historical reporting.
