I know I am very late (2 weeks late) but this editing and cinematic are sick and kind of remind me of those old aviation documentaries "Wings of the Red Star" and "Air Warriors"

This really makes me want to get back in to writing and create a story where an apocalyptic event happened and humanity was cut down to 10%, major cities surrounding airports are the mainstays of civilization and are spread far and few between, and for some reason only known to god most people travel by aircraft. The skies are incredibly dangerous as not all cities get along regardless of the nation they are in and so those who can afford it fly fighter jets. You can buy one straight from the factory like you would buy a new car, or get a "used" one. Because of how scarce and spread out humanity is there is a LOT of money to be made shipping so there are a lot of cargo planes. Because of all that money there is more money to be made in hijacking(finding and forcing a cargo plane to divert to one of your airfields). Since that's bad for business they need protection and that's where the fighters come in. You make pretty good money protecting cargo planes, and can even make decent money on the side by dropping bombs on hostile cities. Now that I write all that and think about it it just sounds like Ace Combat lol. That's kind of how those games work, right? Never really played any or paid attention to that story. When I stop being lazy maybe I'll start working on a game like this, or better yet create a DCS mission that plays out like this(do escort or strike missions, gain score, use score to purchase better aircraft and weapons)
