The thing that pretty much all of these games forget about is the energy transfer shells that big have. Even if technically you have a tank with enough armor to "stop" the shell, the shell will still turn the tank inside out before vaporizing it anyway.

^^^^this. Really wish they would implement kinetic damage. Too many times does the lack of it result in bullshit instances of the enemy surviving a shot that should've vaporized it.

@@johnkenley4687 well, if they do, it'll be problematic... Why? Cause they have to made it more realistic by making the game co-op with each player acting as gunner, loader, commander, and driver. So yeah, just eliminate them altogether to make it simpler

Are you sure you want to make every Soviet tank super op?
@johnkenley46874 жыл бұрын
@@aligenderuwo6471 accounting in kinetic impact physics doesn't mean tney need to also import full crew co-op. Just because one thing gets added doesn't mean another needs to be as well. I swear to god people like you have the dumbest mindsets ever.

Well, implementing that requires to add a lot of things and calculation. It'll make the game size inflates

I can somehow understand what is happening yet at the same time i can't understand
Nobody likes having a fridge launched at them. Even if the armour could stop the shell, the people inside would get eviscerated due to the huge force transfer launching them backwards.
I don’t know about in game but in real life it’s flat out impossible. The Graf speed used in the video had an older version of the guns that would eventually be mounted on Scharnhorst having slightly lower shell velocity and less turret armour. With that said, the Graf Spee’s 11” shells weigh about 300 kg and have a velocity around 930m/s, using the formula F=MA the force of each shell (in Newton’s) is 300 x 930 = 279,000 Newton’s of force. To put that into perspective a truck weighing 6,350kg (F-350, Ram 3500, etc.) would have to be moving at 76m/s to have the same force as that shell that’s almost 300kmh or roughly around 186 mph. The sheer amount of force of these shells in incomprehensible, modern tanks are designed to withstand a large force concentrated on a small area thanks APFSDS but the 11 shells have so much force behind them they’re more likely to push the tank along with it then be deflected off their armour.
In case anyone was wondering about the title of this "video", the answer is "NO". But you knew that before you clicked on it. I want my money back or I at least want to get rick-roll'd.
Well if this was in World of Tanks, and the Battleship round hit the tires of an EBR .. the shell would fail to penetrate, deflate the tire, and the EBR driver would click the repair kit to instantly repair the tire and merrily roll on at 95 Km a hour across the fields on their wheeled vehicle laughing all the way. And this is how WoT designed the damn clown cars (I mean EBR's) and they plan a nerf which will merely slow the EBR down to 65Km a hour if it gets damaged like that (oh how Horrible). So screw reality and any concerns of enjoyable games if you play World of Tanks. Stick with War Thunder as it's far better.
