Honestly idrc Russia got the OSA after getting the Strela Shilka. With Germany, UK, and Italy getting an OSA of their own it would be stupid to not give it to them since they’re the ones who exported it in the first place. Did they really need it? Survey says no, but I’m just happy I can obtain one and replace the Roland (despite where it sits on my service record, I’m tired of using the missiles)

not the osa being broken, more that its allowed to perform even slightly like it does irl cos its russian lol massive pf radius, great damage always unlike 3m proxy artillery with 2-6 MORE kilos of HE or god forbid in comparison to 105mm DTB-1 proxy on chinese vehicles, that shite never does anything to even stationary helis. aaanyways and yeah osa gets better missile steering logic, miles better than other 10.3s and most 11.7s(though slow to react and impossible to reasonably hide, like tor) and they have a ton more energy than rolands and the likes. yah maybe if everyone gets soviet SPAA thats allowed to be even half good they'll start considering fixing or moving down things like the rolands or stormer hvm (my beloved lil pos). maybe since they've added automatic lead to 2 russian spaas (though tor went to china at 11.0 for not being good enough for russia but then got moved to 11.7 when everything else got gimped) they could start with admitting going back on their word about never adding auto lead cause it 'removes player skill' and just make the rolands, vt-1s, adats and stormers autoleading like pretty much every saclos spaa is irl.

I love the OSA. I've been using it for spawn camping....from my spawn lol. Anything from SPAAs to Type 90s are killable, as long as their ranges are at least 850-900 to your position, top side overpressure with a bonus surprisingly high 60mm pen....ouch

One are a huge target the other are small and can bounce a lot of shot on UFP. One is 57mm the other are 75mm and can pen mbt frontally. HSTVL definitely better vehicle

And then they whine that they are shot down, because when you go out to the enemy in a tank and you are killed, you understand that you have set yourself up. Even without radar, I think the Strela's missile is much stronger especially with the non ir seeker mode. It's a very difficult missile to avoid at a lot of angles, especially if you get downtiered.

Few stuffs you can do re fake approach, eyeball for launch smoke, pinpoint the spot then turn 90 degree hard plus dive to waste their missile, hide low and jump on them with low high speed brrrt.
