I’m not upset if they depict Thailand as rundown or as a third-world country because, in some ways, that’s the reality. What makes me angry is that it doesn’t even look like Thailand. In reality, 99% of Thais would never honk their horns because doing so could get you shot right in the middle of the street. There have been countless news reports in Thailand of people being harmed just for honking their horns. So, you rarely hear honking here. As for the taxis or buses in Thailand, they don’t look anything like what was shown. We don’t hang those orange flowers all over our vehicles like in the video. I’ve lived here my entire life, and I’ve never seen a taxi like that. I’m baffled-where did the creators of that video get their reference from? Or did they just imagine Thailand that way on their own?

As a Thai who has been driving for 30 years, honking won't get you shot that easily....and I've lived in Bangkok and in the upcountry. That said, I agree with you...honking situation in Thailand is unlike those in India or Vietnam. We rarely honk -- we don't honk enough I feel, I use it as a middle finger gesture most of the time 😂😂😂.

As a Thai. I want to add more that Thai law for gun is quite strict especially for civilian. Such as to carry gun in car, gun itself must be in shape that it's not ready to shoot. Such as it need to disassemble and put in cases. Same for carry with walking as well. so it's hard to find people to have gun in hand except they have illegal jobs. It's just bad luck.

Thank you for reviewing the Apple ad! You guys are saying the same thing as we did about the Apple ad! There was a huge drama about it when it came out last week. A lot of of Thai people were saying that they were going banned IPhone. Please do come back. There are still so many beautiful places in Thailand that you should explore, both in the North and the south. 😊

Also next time if you have a chance try traditional Thai desserts. It quite difficult to fine food places now a days even for the Thai people. FYI coconut milk and cream are sweetened because of the added sugar (a lot of sugar!) it’s not naturally sweetened. A very popular mango and sticky rice is in thonglor.

I watched an advertisement for an Apple product. From my analysis, I thought that Apple made a mistake in presenting its AI technology that translated the Thai language incorrectly. It's more of a disgrace for Apple. As for the photo being made in Thailand, Apple doesn't care anymore. Because Apple has a history of taking advertisements in many countries in a destructive manner in the past. Thank you.

For the mango sticky rice, the sticky was cooked with coconut milk with sugar which made the sticky rice creamy and sweet. You should eat with the sauce which is coconut milk with a salt. The sauce help to reduce the sweet. After that on top with the yellow crispy nuts. So it is a great combination of sweet&sour of mango+creamy of sticky rice+salty of sauce+crispy of the nuts.

Thailand has two official Apple stores, with a third one set to open soon. It is also one of the largest markets in Asia it also tourism hub there are 30 million visitor so it tons of people will go into the shop via Thailand. As a Thai person, I don't mind the Apple ads, even though they might be considered cliché, because they were filmed in Thailand and contributed to the local economy. Unlike the movie *The Hangover*, which had supported from Thailand's Ministry of Tourism in order to boost Thailand tourism it portrait Thailand not at it best but atleast it bring people in, the ads still help keep Thailand in people's minds, whether we like it or not. However, Thai social media has become increasingly critical, tired of Western media portraying only one side of Thailand. Many Thais, especially as major Apple customers, feel betrayed by the company's approach. Im android user and a annoyed by those Apple snob I also understand their perspective in this case.

I’m still a winner, not a loser who’s sensitive to something so nonsensical. No matter what, a movie like The Beach or The Hangover that portrays Thailand as a drug paradise still brings people in and it up to Thai people to handle it way better than no one comming. The Tourism Authority of Thailand cleverly supported such a movies. There are over 200 countries in the world, but they picked Thailand. That's how Thailand went from a country with less than 5 million tourists per year 30 years ago to 40 million at its peak nowadays. That ad is just a bad joke. I mean, why would anyone spend tens of millions just to look down on Thailand? It doesnt make sense, At the end of the day, people can think whatever they like. There are tons of ads out there that people aren’t going to remember. They’re going to remember the name Thailand when they think of their next vacation. Those who have been to Thailand aren’t going to stop coming because of that ad. Those who have never been will just be curious and want to try not that it like kidnaping theme Chinese movies kind. I don’t blame anyone who doesn’t share the same thoughts as me. Everyone has their own opinion, and this is my point of view.

Apple AI also lousy language translation, Suppose to say " Good Morning in Thai " but AI taught her " Ratreesawas Ying-gae" which means "Goodnight Old Lady" and lots of poor translation too. They deleted it not because they felt guilty as they already know that after this it gonna be drama which will talk of town around the globe but they felt ashamed of big mistake about APPLE AI in poor language translation. lol

Most of the places in the Philippines, Metro Manila to be more specific are super duper dirty. As in. It can compete against India. The only places that are clean if they are owned by private businesses like BGC but it’s just a very small portion of the whole place. If the place is being managed by the government of the Philippines, surely it’s super dirty and unmaintained. Unfortunately most of the places are being managed by the incompetent government. Thailand is far way better than the Philippines

Eto ang mga problema ng pinas kaya konti lang ang mga foreign tourists at hindi sila nagtatagal sa ating bansa: 1. Rampant Corruption in government and public. 2. Very very very few modern infrastructures. 3. No modern transportation 4. No modern airport 4. Mahina or walang internet 5. Nawawalan ng kuryente (brownout) 5. Mahina or nawawalan or walang tubig 6. Nakawan at kikilan sa NAIA airport 7. EXPENSIVE accomodations 8. Maraming patayan, kriminal, nakawan, mandurukot, snatchers, kidnappers , drug addicts at mga pushers 9. Mga ganid na taxi at tricycle drivers over-charging/scamming foreign tourists 10. Mga basura or litters sa kalye at mga bangketa. Mga pinoy wala talagang disiplina. Kahit saan tayo nagtatapon ng mga basura/ litters natin. 11. Pati sa mga beach, dagat, gubat at bundok may mga basura din..mga plastic bottles, plastik supot, wrappers at kung ano ano pang mga litter/garbage. 12. Mga illegal vendors sa kalsada/bangketa, may vendor din sa gitna ng badian canyon, panglao sandbar at mga bangkang vendor sa dagat ng el nido at coron. Kaya madumi at maraming mga basura sa ating mga kapaligiran at kalikasan. MAGTINDA KAYO SA TAMANG LUGAR. 13. Illegal squatters, street dwellers and beggars everywhere, particularly children asking money from foreigners. Tapos sasabihin natin "Its more fun in the Phlippines" ??? Nakakahiya ! Tourism will boost our local economy kasi foreigners spend money in our country which helps our local business to earn more. The local and national government MUST do something to solve/fix these problems.

Im filipino, thailand is better on infrastracture , facilities and services than philippines due to they have achieved the tourism values since then. Philippines is just started seriously a few years ago on tourism side but it takes a lot of years to be as good as thailand. But i appreciate also my country in terms of nature which is actually alittle one stèp higher than thailand due to paradise island and beaches, volcanoes, blue waterfalls and rivers, mountain ranges and clean and clear blue waters. in terms of central business district cbd, i think philippines is much much better than cbd in thailand.no doubt. Good urban planning which is slightly better than malaysia. Philippines now has a lot a cbds in development. It probably surpass malaysia and singapore in the future. I hope thailand has better cbd luke in the philippines in the future. The one that can drag down my philippines is the big slum. Good for thailand, it has only a small toen but our govt. Is trying to build houding for swuatters and relocate in some adjacent province.the slum is really significantly decreasing. Thailand is really beautiful to travel overall. Love from philippines.

The thing about the Apple ad, yes you can see why people are upset about it. But look at how the American business people are depicted in the ad. The travellers are clueless idiots struggling to cope, the boss is greedy and inconsiderate, the co-worker is an obese slob. Yet I don't see any Americans complaining about how Americans are depicted in this ad. These are all humorous caricatures, not worth getting into a furore over.

There's NO COCKROACH in Thailand? I was surprised to hear this so I CHECKED. There are many videos of people eating cockroaches in Thailand. You can check it yourselves. Now you know why you can't find cockroach in Thailand. It's in the stomach already. I wonder if they are real cockroach because they really looked like giant cockroaches. 😊

They are some insects but not cockroach. Surely there are cockroach in thailand but probably not much comparing to other countries these guys went to.
