Look at Ben's legs as they go over. When a human is being lifted off the ground, you'll see they stretch out as much as possible, even to the point they're in their tip toes, to stop themselves leaving the ground. Ben did the complete opposite. Ben lifted his knees as high as possible to his body to ensure he would leave the ground
@brandonadam7167Ай бұрын
Joey's scorecard had it bang on. I had the fight scored as either 6-6 (draw) or 7-5 to Beterbiev. It seemed that beyond the first few rounds, Bivol's gameplan was to try to lull Beterbiev into a sense of control, and whenever he would get too comfortable, Bivol would try to surprise him with combinations. However, that sort of gameplan only works when you really wobble the opponent and land devastating shots. Artur was still able to use his high guard to wear off Bivol's combos whilst owning the center of the ring and landing punches consistently, even if they were partially blocked. Bivol did not win this fight imo. He was only fighting in spots and not with the level of consistency that Beterbiev was fighting at, which ultimately lost him the fight. No way was this a "robbery."
@jahkrmusicАй бұрын
I completely agree. Though both fighters displayed extremely high levels of defense, Beterbiev threw more and landed more effective punches. I wasn't a fan of Bivol's movement, was more running than finesse.

We have SEEN boxers go against the ropes like that but mostly the man with his back to the ropes slips to the side or pushes back to STOP them going into rope trouble. Not Ben. Anyone else get the feeling that Ben Whitaker can ONLY box well when he’s showboating like crazy? And coming in for a lot of stick for that has made him box traditionally with traditional moves and now he’s falling short because he LACKS all the natural standard aspects of boxing??Whittaker is now, in effect, STARTING AFRESH against decent level opponents who HAVE learned the basics of boxing while he has been allowed to box like a joker as long as it’s ‘effective’ well, now it’s NOT effective because he isn’t as naturally taught as his harder opponents. He better watch out and learn the basics intensely or he’s getting ko’d soon.

There are statistics about, that show; Bivol threw more than twice as many heavy punches than Betterbiev. Bivol hurt Betterbiev at least 3-4 times and has never been hurt. With all the pressure Betterbiev was applying , at the crucial moment Bivol kept turning him and/or throwing , combinations. If you look at pressure you also should look at defence. Betterbiev could not pin Bivol down, not even once..It was not even a close fight. betterbiev has been told in the 10th round you have to knock him out to win nad after the fight his corner and him behaved like loosers. If you wanted badly could have made a case, for Beterbiev to have a draw, but he definately didnt win.

@@johndonny443 Betterbiev got hurt, in rounds 2,3,7,9 and 10. About the beat up in the last two rounds....tat did not happen. You could see Bivol thinking he won the fight and was taking no chances, trying to pick up Betterbiev, who was desperate, on the counter Probably can make a case for round 11, but even in that, Beterbiev did not land a single clean shot and Bivol finished on top as the agressor at the end. Round 12 was started and finished by Bivol strong, he landed at least 4 shots and Betterbiev was holding on at the end.

I don’t even want Jnr v Jnr. Benn has fought nobody and a drug cheat he just wants a retirement payday. He’s never had a big fight payday because he hasn’t progressed to high level fighters. We won’t see Benn Jnr after this fight if he loses it. He’s got no chance of winning against world champions. He’ll retire. But Benn Jnr won’t tell us. He will be at every event, trying to get someone out of his class for 3 years before retiring through inactivity. Eubank Jnrs inactivity is the same as per trying to keep himself relevant trying to find non punchers with decent looking records to beat like Cameron with his 32% ko ratio. I meant THAT is a low ko ratio. Both Benn & Eubank Jnr are masters at finding guys with low ko ratios on boxrec. 💥🥊

Think about it logically: Bivol says that his face was getting damaged THROUGH his own blocks due to ABs power punches. That means that the punches that AB did land were damaging him even more... and AB landed a lot of clean body shots too. Bivol had to back up/jump on his bike a few times due to this aspect alone.
@vitmartАй бұрын
@MrSubstance I'm speaking russian and it's not what he meant to say. Bivol was saying that yes,AB punch hard but all his power punches landed on his hands and his hands was getting damaged! Cardinal rule of booking- hit and do not get hit. Block,steps back/right/left, pivot,roll,- that's all boxing technique and not 'backpedalling'. To me Beterbiev looked like calmly executing a plan to beat the guy in front of him up - no desperation, no danger - some adjustments, return fire guarded, damage delivered. It felt like Bivols taking it to the distance was a victory in itself. Can't see how would somebody called it robbery. I think draw was generous for Bivol and only if you are "clean shot's enthusiast" - otherwise it seemd to me like one guy is punishing and the other one surviving with bouts of, albeit impressive, resistance.
