I was cheering for Serbia that year, it stood out with a really strong performance. When the singer's voice alone can carry the whole thing, not any flashy routine, that's impressive. Very deserving winner :)

The reason Santa was there is because Finalnd has somehow claimed Santa to be from the Finnish town of Rovaniemi, located somewhere in the middle of the northen half of Finland. I don't know how they managed to do so (when we all already Santa lives on the North pole). But apperantly Santa is Finnish!

No Ukraine definetely wasn't robbed this year. It is a fun and memorable performance that is absolutely amazing but it would have been insulting if it won instead of Serbia that had genuinely beautiful song.

There was 1 semifinal. An extra semifinal was introduced in 2008.

You should go to Eurovision 1990 in Yugoslavia. There was so many good songs that year. I have watched Eurovision last 40 years. Spain's Bandido became esc classic.

I really enjoy watching your reaction Noosh, I respect your musical preference, I think people have their musical preference too. People may like Ballard, rock, country, etc and may find some upbeat song is repetitive. Personally Ukrainian wasn't my winner that year tbh. I wanna state something: my feeling about Ukraine has changed drastically - from admiration to whatever - since Jamala asked that stupid question to Maruv on the stage (to sabotage her?) in front of Mr Andriy (aka Verka) then led to Maruv and Ukraine withdrawal last year. Anyway, you are the best, Nooshm, keep working, and be healthy. :)
