Was I Scammed By Leonhart AGAIN? | Pokemon Scandal/Scamming

Tell me what you think, because I think this sucks.
DISCLAIMER: You should at NO POINT go commenting on LeonHart's channel negative things. Do not be rude to him. Do not harass him. Do not call him a scammer.
This is my review of this, and I don't need people going and harassing him based off it.
I cannot recommend people to buy from Rarecandy or from Leonhart. Frankly it's all not worth it and you're better off paying to go to a meetup where he'll be and getting him to sign a card you actually want a signature on.

Took my 8yr old daughter to a Pokemon trading event. Let here trade whatever she wanted without worrying about equivelent value trade. She had such a good time she never wanted to leave. It's not about trading up or getting positive EV on trades. It's about giving up things you don't care about for things you do care about.

It's funny rare candy has this listed as a "authenticated card" but in the picture the slabs have both auto and the grade. This could have misled me to think that im getting a graded slab lol. Thanks again for your honest review on LH's product!

man im so glad to stumble on your videos, a lot of ppl on my country is doing the same abt pokemon cards and i just got into this pokemon cards world on january this year cause of a pokemon festival in my country. and i agreed with you about its not about the money its about the experience and memories, i remembered when i was a kid im actually loved pokemon ,since i cant afford to buy it here in my country it is very expensive and now that im starting a small online pokemon cards shop just so i can get the card i want and giving the community an affordable price to buy international and local version of pokemon cards. and after just 2 months passed by i can tell that most of the fellow card shop that i knew personally from the community actually sold packs and singles atleast double the price of the international supplier. and whats more that they actually sold the promo cards that should have been for free and just tell the buyer of the booster box that they were late to buy it that others already bought a master case or big quantity and get all the promo packs. oh and you got one more subs bro XD

If all I did was copy the big dogs with what they do and how they go overboard on hyping shit up, I'm sure I'd grow faster, but that's not genuinely who I am or what I want. You won't see me cutting cards, making wild $$$$$$ purchases, or trying to grade stuff. It's not financially literate to do so in this economic climate and I think it's garbage.

Still waiting on the 5th one to be refunded that was purchased on a separate order. This has not been the most pleasant experience but i am glad they actually took steps to attempt to make it right.

It should only ever be signed by the artist or maybe someone who actually works for the Pokemon Company (Junichi Masuda, for example). A KZbinr signing a random card and then GRADING it is just plain weird. It adds nothing, financial value or otherwise.

Thanks for this perspective, brother. I do see my collection as an investment, and if there is an opportunity to turn some of my pulls into more product to rip open, I definitely take that route (unless it's something I love and want for my collection, of course). But the idea that I have to make back the money on the cards I pull is kind of funky, and I don't like to think that way. Right now I have a small channel that is slowly growing, and everything that I pull goes into the binder and I trade with friends for things I want, or trade it in to my lgs for stuff to open. Leonhart does legitimately seem like a decent person, but I think his idea of what warrants a valuable product for his fans is incredibly skewed. I hope that he moves away from this and gets back to the joy of the hobby, which it does kind of seem like he's doing now.

I'd second that comment on Leonhart seeming like he's genuinely a good guy. I think he's lost his way by constantly being deep into the tubing and not taking breaks or coming up for air. Frankly the dude has grinded far too hard, and I think someone in his life might just be getting sick of it. Guarantee you if I was in his position, my gf and son would both be looking at me and asking me "What the hell are you still grinding so hard for? Hire someone to help. Spend more time with us. That's what money is good for - earning back your time.". I try to be super up front and clear with people that Leonhart the channel and Lee Steinfield the person aren't the same. I have a problem with his means of doing business and not giving proper honor to that and his community.

You rarely see them talking about how playable a card is or how they’re excited to add to their collection. It’s all about money. I’ve been collecting since the late ruby/sapphire days and it’s just ridiculous now. Well I was just scammed by a known web site which caused me to have several emails with them and having to go to the phone store 3x to send a video and no recourse whatsoever, just a no refund message after proving the product in useable. So I'm out almost $100 and don't know if I can buy from the site again. Also I have very limited funds which may affect my summer cause I'm down that money..

I'm on the same boat, even after they sent me a replacement it was still in poor condition and I finally said I want my full refund because the card it undervalue and the product is over price. Both cards had whiting around the edges and corner. My second card I received had scratches all over the foil. I've reached out to leonhart and rarecandy still waiting on my refund.

There isn't one true point to purchasing pokemon cards, but I think your perspective is a lot more wholesome that most. Unfortunately others may purchase packs purely for revenue's sake given economic troubles, gambler's fallacy, etc. while others may truly feel bad when opening a dud if their investment was more impactful than others'.

Sir my hats off to you. Glad that rare candy did send off another card but good lord.. my biggest problem and I am actually thinking is out these 500 boxes he sent. How many of those cards are actually worth something. A Raichu and a Nidoqueen but what kills me is the initials written all over the card which literally degrades the card all together. One of my favorite cards is the reverse holographic porygon2 which is a common because of the artwork I open cards with my kid to create a memory with her that we had fun doing together and creating a bond which I hope when she grows old she does the same with her kids. I don't expect the get Lugia Alt art (pray one day I will) But it's the raw emotion of seeing what could be that takes the cake for me.

My daughter (4 and a half years old too) has reminded me too of the fun I had as a kid. When I got my binder out with all my old cards, her eyes got so big and she went 'I don't have any of these yet!'. She didn't see money, she saw a lot of cool cards. She just wants to enjoy the art with me and try to find new pokemon. Now, she has her favorite pokemon, Gengar, Haunter and Gastly. She will flip out when she gets them. It's so fun to watch. Kids will always see the reality of that stuff and just see it for exactly what it is. They don't care that money was involved. They just know mom or dad make money, and money is what has to be given to get stuff. They only care about how cool the cards are and whether or not they've collected them. We should model them and stop trying to flip these things.

And just like your video absolutely crap could be 80 dollar card raw but no its has a bend in bottom corner and of course signed on card and didn't even come with plastic wrapper.
