I would highly recommend encasing the lithium batteries in their own steel housing. They have been known to spontaneously combust after alot of charge/discharge cycles, and you want that contained, so it doesn't spread to the rest of your rig.

Y'all are the best problem solvers! That is what I try to do and hope to do better all the time! Thank you so much! Just an FYI, Black Snakes, while frightening, are harmless and in reality very beneficial snakes...they eat Copperheads (poisonous snakes), so if you see them around, you are less likely to see Copperheads or mice...your guy was a Black Snake. (We have one that lives (uninvited) under our house and has grown to be about 6 feet long. Some guys had to work under the house about a year ago and said, "You have a BIG snake under your house." We told him it was a black snake and he said he just moved a stick over toward it and it moved away from him. I wouldn't invite him inside, but I like knowing he is keeping poisonous snakes and mice away. Thanks for all y'all share with us. Stay safe! (Jane in SC❤🙏) We also have a hawk that has lived in our back yard for about 20 years now (near the end of his lifespan).

We carry a cordless reciprocating saw. Smaller, lighter, quieter, doesn't leak oil, and good for branches that size. Works on snakes, too! LOL

You really want to heat shrink that connector. Just use a lighter, no reason to get a heat gun for one connector. It will prevent corrosion on the wire itself. You may have done that off camera though.

Snakes only hang out if there's a food source. Possibility of mice nearby? Anyhow, you won't have a mice problem if you have snakes patrolling the area! :)

Take a read of your crimp tool instructions. The connector fits IN the tool a specific position. You did not use the tool correctly. It's not 'potatoes potawtoes', it's what works and what does not. A btw...but insulated or non-insulated (each takes a different crimp die) is not the issue, but it's how the connector is placed IN the tool before you squeeze the handles. Happy fixing!

We use our travel trailer for travel ball. Get there way early and establish a area and set up. I hook up to a quiet generator for electric, and fill the water tank up. Bad thing I’ve noticed is the black water will fill or about fill up over a weekend. Working on that next pump to tank method I’m thinking in the back of the truck and dump at the wash out at the house. It’s been a life saver in the south summer heat. Some times too a municipal like a fire station might have a side lot too you can stay at, did that once too.

I stay in a parking lot in a Tribal Casino near to an Indian Clinic bc I’m a little concerned about breathing…White, balding head of security sees my note in the window 5:30 am (I wrote just to alert for this moment)…I roll down the window explain the situation..He is like no problem , but park in Main lot ..this lot is for employees. I move the Van 100 yards…The next thing I know I am surrounded by 3 Oklahoma State Police 👮♀️…Seriously. You cant make this sh!t up. Boondocked many, many years at a NASCAR track every spring and fall. We would all put the campers in a square to have our own safe area for the kids to play. Shared meals, beer and friendship. Also saw a camper being pulled away and snakes were dropping on the road from it. Ugh! I don't need one in mine! Thanks guys and have fun and be safe!
