Fake jewlery can be easily detected, most of the time to the naked eye itself, if not at the point of purchase where equipment is had. It's no crime to simply put on a look that suits you. You don't pay thousands of dollars for real jewelry just to look some kind of way from a distance, you do it to build a family treasure, to build solid material wealth that does more than just sit in a vault and wait to be used as currency, to have a solid piece of your legacy incarnate. That's the stuff that will outlive you, and make people remember you. Some time in the distant future, G-d forbid, your family could come on hard financial times, that treasury could be the thing that saves them, and well kept jewlery is timeless. Joe Schmoe has some plated brass thing, it'll be trash by the end of the year at the latest, so what? let him do his thing, why you gotta hate on another dudes temporary drip? Real gold and silver is maintenance free. It might get a little dull after a while if you don't clean it, but that's it. It won't rust or "fade." There's gold and silver at the bottom of the ocean in shipwrecks that are in perfect condition. This chain could never hold up to daily use after a few months. There's people out there, including myself, who never take their jewelry off even to shower without drying it after or to sleep. This is nice for what it is, but under real-world conditions, this chain won't last period

I agree with you. Solid gold and sterling silver can go maintenance free - even though most ppl should, regardless if it’s solid or not. But I also have multiple solid piece. But this review was more so for those that’s wanting something as a beginners jewelry, or maybe for photo shoots and more. And they actually last for a very long time. I was shocked. But you’re right…in due time, it will wear for sure.

Anything you purchase from Shop GLD is real. There’s solid gold and plated gold. Solid gold it a full gold piece. Plated gold is real stainless steel that’s plated gold covered. So everything you have is real.
