@Tommo your audio is always "quieter" than other channels when played through my laptop speakers, i.e. I have to put my laptop audio on full when watching any of your videos, and then reduce my volume when watching something on another channel. BUT it's totally fine when listening over my headphones. Sorry, just wanted to give a bit more context to help, instead of the live stream viewers always just saying "audio a bit soft" without giving more info. Hope it helps.

Tommo, If having a pointee car is the fastest way around the race track, shouldn't the Visa RB junior team make their car front end bias to prepare their junior drivers for the main Red Bull Seat? Maybe this is the reason for Ricciardo helping to develop the Visa RB car?

I fully agree with the point around how RB need to find the driver that would have the best shot of doing well in that seat. For that specific reason I think the team are opting to stick with Checo because he is a known entity, and at least know that he has had streaks of doing well in that seat. What I really do not get is this whole argument that Daniel would be the best choice. He's shown that adaptability is his weakness if anything, and using his success from 7-8 years as your rationale is weak. I much prefer the argument of bringing in somebody like a Liam, who can come in completely fresh. I also think we are over-blowing the whole "Gasly and Albon didn't work out" narrative, they were both still young drivers and not necessarily still proven entities at that time. Checo came in from the outside and was had done an "ok" job at adapting to the car, so then why can't somebody like Yuki also adapt? Bringing in somebody from the outside is ALWAYS going to have some kind of risk with it given you never know for sure how good a driver is going to adapt to the new car, new team environment, etc. I think what is frustrating many fans is the fact that RB are not taking that risk on the driver that is not only the most deserving, but also probably the one with the bigger potential upside (at least compared to an aging Daniel).

@@1greenMitsi I’m not trying to defend his performance, I am just trying to say what the team probably thinking. As I said there is always a risk to bringing in somebody from the outside and they may just think they have a better shot of getting Perez back to his early season form, than making an outside driver work. Again, I am not saying it’s right or wrong, but at least I get the logic behind it.

When you look at the numbers, Checo hasn't actually done much better than Gasly or Albon. Not when you're measuring relative to Max. Lawson I agree would do better than Checo, but equally he could well crash and burn like the last two guys to take that seat in their 1st/2nd seasons. Daniel has excelled within that team, in a Newey Red Bull that has always been on the nose. High rake n'all. Max excelled in the 2018 Red Bull, but so did Daniel. I can't imagine Max's style has changed much since then, so maybe - the same would be true in 2024...? 🤷‍♂️

Toto's going to sign Antonelli for 2025 and beyond and renew Russell at the start of 2025, I just don't see why he would drop Russell for Verstappen. The explanation for Toto "flirting" with Max is easy in my opinion, cause instability at Redbull and possibly nuke them by taking their number 1 driver, now that redbull might no longer be a threat, no need to take their driver.

The thing that most people seem not to understand is how boring constant winning is. When Merc was dominating, as soon as RB announced their Powertrains project, many engineers from Merc jumped at the opportunity for a new challenge. RB is dominating now, so people there have reached the top and are looking for new challenges.

With every high profile RB exit, more become more likely because there is less reasons to stay for the others. When the whole team is winning there's that glue of "we can keep winning together!" Now it's more like... "who will be left if I decide to stay?"

No matter how much of a Mick fan I am, I must admit his chances to return are slim. People can't get out of their minds his spectacular crashes. And no matter the circumstances, the repair bill remains. Although the h2h in race finishes is in Mick's favor, K-Mag's highs were 2 brilliant moments that made another important impression in the fan's minds : the p5 in the first round and the cheeky pole in Brazil. Take that p5 out of the equation and it's no longer that impressive even points wise (15-12 for KMag)

One of the most insightful parts about DTS in the 2018 and 2019 seasons was how Guenter would react to his drivers or the car messing up. Why do we assume Checo is the only one at fault here? Last time e I checked F1 is a team sport. Look at the mercs, they got rid of the guy who kept saying Zero pots is the way to go. Ocon doing a nice thing for is teammate is a weird thing to assume since his history indicates the exact opposite. I'm a bit tired of hearing people defend him as "competitive" or whatever, all racing drivers are competitive but not all seem to be this disliked among their peers. If most or all of your former teammates dislike you, you're most likely the problem.

Not a Red Bull fam i'm a McLaren fan always been since Senna. I´d like to say something if you think Max and Checo Peres have the same setup on the car you are not intelligent. Max doesn't want any team mate to challenge him. Just learn by watching the past. Do you think Gasly is a bad driver? I think not. Max team mates only serve to setup Max, car for the races. By the way I liked Max but i don't think he won his first championship with honor so I only back Oscar Piastri now.

Is that true? The downfall of Mercedes in 2022 & 23, the many false dawns? What about McLaren in 2017 when Alonso was calling out the GP2 engine, a deeply embarrassing part of their history. And when are people NOT wailing on Ferrari. IMO to demonstrate bias, you have to demonstrate a lack of coverage of others struggles - but as far as I'm concerned that's not the truth.
@sameerdodger
@sameerdodger Ай бұрын
I've come to realise that people who don't have anything of substance to say just blame everything on perceived bias. Then they always follow up the comment with who they're a (not) a fan of as if that somehow clears them of any bias themselves. The whole conversation then just revolves around 'bias' instead of anything useful.

Those teams weren’t nearly as toxic culturally as RBR is. Toto wasn’t out here sexually harassing staff, nor was Maranello outwardly deriding drivers and staff (unlike someone like Marko). These are just the easy examples but they show a general coldness organizationally, and the only “justification” for that is performance. Once performance slips, the whole house of cards starts to fall.

Red Bull violated cost cap some years ago and the teams are closing on them. McLaren and Ferrari are in a tight fight for constructors tittle. Red Bull dominated because they attracted a lot of people (Notably Mercedes) And major people are leaving. Some of the key people at Red Bull have been around a long time and need a fresh project. Cost cap may mean lower salaries and getting rid of key people. Coumoun in Business. Perez is not performing well but who will go in the seat and play nice with Max. Most drivers in the other seat will try to beat him. The new rules in the future are put together to be easier on smaller teams like McLaren. Maybe Williams they have gone from the front in 90's to the back and are going forward. And Perez is a a good team mate to help Albon out. I like Albon but is he a team leader. Or championship material. Perez is.
