Ever since the legendary Sam Fisher joined Rainbow Six Siega as an operator, there is a single question that Ubisoft has left unanswered. Who was the mysterious enemy that made Sam Fisher go into hiding in Team Rainbow? Could Deimos TRULY be the one that caused Sam to retreat to Rainbow years ago?

I really hope they add a campaign at some point, because it feels odd putting the story to the side, especially since they have a new villain. Deimos is basically the perfect campaign villain, so why force his story into the comics and cinematics, why not put him into a game. Image the campaign starts out with an average Splinter Cell mission; however, it ends with an escape section where we meet Deimos, and Deimos getting the upper hand due to Sam's age. The missions afterwards can be R6 missions, with the squads each having to certain missions. At the end its a mission where you play as the lead member of each squad pushing against Deimos one last time in an all or nothing gambit.

Itd be interesting to see a game where the squads split up and each get a unique game centered on the squads niche imagine a game where ghost eyes is doing stealth missions. Adapting the r6 stuff into a new game would be interesting with different mission types based off of the squads that would be on each mission

Seriously bring back the rainbow 6 Vegas missions and have it be a long running mission with a 5 stack. That would be way more fun than shooting aliens. And playing 5v 5 is fun but they have so many characters, lore and good gunplay that if they got their ai a little better it would be super fun to play.

What if we combine your 2 theories: 1. Unknown Enemy Being Deimos 2. Next Splinter Cell Enemy we get a game including Deimos and Sam plus it gets in more detail how all previous events took place and how Sam "Lost/Drew" to Deimos and escaped from him; which leads to Sam's R6 arc.

I'm guessing Deimos will die in Siege's story. Would be weird to draw out this character just to be used for another plot.

I personally think they should have a cinematic of Sam fighting Deimos to a draw, maybe revealing his face with the Karambit knife (along with a previous scar from Sam) but getting wounded in the process....and this would be where you introduce Deimos's squad members popping out of the shadows....half a dozen 'unique operator type characters'....ready to finish Sam off and telling him that 'his time is over'. And it was the combination of danger (a deep cell of operatives - the Wolves, Deimos+turncoat R6, maybe another Echelon type cell) that made Sam run away. ...of course, this is where members of Team Rainbow show up to bail Sam out....showing what a TEAM is made of. Also think it should be Thatcher and Dokk who are the ones that eventually take out Deimos, given that they had character development with Harry in the first ever cinematic.

As for his lore... His last game he was supposedly on the run or "died." Which is why he's getting a Reboot game series. Plus they're retconning some stuff. How in one of his games he saved a Swedish Princess *cough cough* Nøkk and how he saved this old guy from death aka Finka's father. (Meant Denmark Princess a Young Princess. Which they're retconning to be Nøkk.) Zero is super strong my favorite Attacker. He has intel that can be on site or flank watch. A Gonne-6 to get rid of Shields and other stuff and two Canopeners. He can do it all. Plus his custom AR is great.

Nøkk isn't swedish i believe i do know a little bit of the swedish alphabet and i believe this ø isn't a part of the swedish alphabet i believe it's used in Denmark and Norway but not Sweden since the only real letters that the swedish alphabet has over the English alphabet is ä,ö and å but i don't believe this ø is a part of it

@@kestrels-in-the-sky i know that but it sounds nice? I run suppressors for recoil like on hibanna. But the SC has pretty controllable recoil so i run it with the exentened. But if the gun is too loud for you change home theater to night time mode in settings.

The idea of Sam sitting down talking to the new op that had intel of Deimos would be sick if it was another crossover character. Like a Ghost or someone from watchdogs would make sense on getting intel, having Same trust and being another crossover season like his was.

Despite having a catalogue of games that seem to get worse every year, Ubisoft's team is REMARKABLE worldbuilders. They really should make a TV series or movies [preferably animated like the cinematics they make] showcasing the expansive story behind this little universe they've got going on. They could work in the context of Siege, but we could finally have a streamlined story rather than a bunch of cinematics here and there. Imagine, a Ghost Recon series first, sets up some characters for the universe and introduces us to the tone and type of shows we could see, then a Splinter Cell series, showcasing Sam Fisher and others, maybe the creation of Rainbow or at least where they are in whatever time it takes place, then a Rainbow Six series, introducing our beloved characters, showing the white masks, then Harry and Nighthaven, then Deimos as the "Big Bad", showing his involvement in everything thusfar, and giving us a whole roster of characters. Obviously, the show and the game would have to work together on lore ideas which would make for tons of complications, but if the show were to go on for a while, maybe Siege's lore will wrap up. Obviously I'm hopelessly optimistic here but I know this is unlikely. There was a movie on Amazon based in the Tom Clancy world, teasing Rainbow, but they went nowhere with that.

According to the lore. 4th Echelon has disbanded after Paladin was struck. Charlie Cole and Andrey Kobin was the only left to help Sam in his missions. It was because of this, Sam goes alone with only the two helping in the sides. Charlie Cole was severely injured, Briggs goes with his family and Anna, too. While Kestrel, is in coma somewhere, we don't know. This is "Far Cry: New Dawn", even if we only see it as notes. If this happened, this one was after the mission in Bolivia, name of the mission is Empty Quiver. That's when it happened where we see Vic Coste helping Sam in Breakpoint because he had no other option of supporting teams.

Well, they did get infiltrated and the Third Echelon also got the US President killed. Only reason it didn’t happen was because Sam is quite literally built different.

You know it would make way more sense to actually release patriots in the foreseeable future when Deimos identity is revealed and your theory is true and the game is set before he became Deimos until the end of the game it’ll be like a time skip to where he is Deimos over people wanting him as an operator in Siege.

Since the Ghosts and Rainbow Six meeting is canon via Twitch, Valkyrie, and Caveira’s bios I wonder if Sam Fisher and him meeting the Ghosts is also canon. There’s no mention of any of the events of Ghost Recon Wildlands in Sam’s bio and that would of course immediately dismiss it as non-canon but it is still an idea nonetheless and could maybe help piece together who was after Sam Fisher if we just take the last Splinter Cell game, the events of GR, and the events of Siege all in one it could paint us a picture, maybe.

Well, I been following Sam Fisher story from beginning as a Navy Seal, then a Splinter Cell Agent and then the 3rd Echelon conspiracy and to being the Commander of 4th Echelon but still there a little hole plot that needs to be full on his story. Recently there's been released two novels of the Splinter Cell franchiese and the last novel that was Dragonfire (written by James Swallow), Sam is becomes not longer part of 4th Echelon after a new conspiracy that could created a 3rd World War and that Sam was in the middle of it and was used as a pawn to create the conflict... Okay, I was rambling with this (I love that novel very much😚💕), and now since he is no longer part of 4E and any government Agency, he had become a target against all those enemies he had faced when he was a Splinter Cell. I want to thinki that during that time Sam in one moment perhaps faced that mysterious enemy that made him go to Harry and become part of the Rainbow Staff, and perhaps that enemy could be Deimos... I hope we get to know more about his role on Rainbow Six because I think is not only being a coincidence of a cameo for him, he was on Rainbow for a reason and Ubisoft needs to answer those big questions: Who is the enemy that Fisher was running from? Sam is already the boss of Forth Echelon and he is suppose to be a highly convert operative. Forth Echelon like it's predecessor organization (Third Echelon) is a extremely secretive clandestine spy organization that conduct black ops on behalf of the US government specifically intel gathering and information warfare. The organization and all it's personnels don't exist on paper and anything they do is completely deniable by the US government.
