This felt too easy. Deimos attacks Emerald Plains with just five other guys? Deimos also knows about Rainbow's humanity, considers it a weakness, knowing Rainbow wouldn't gun him down. I figure, Deimos deliberately gets himself captured. That way his people can track him to some other Rainbow black site. Deimos's capture would certainly draw attention within Rainbow. Probably a lot of operators want to exact personal revenge on him for Harry, and other fallen comrades. Get a bunch of operators together at one site, Deimos can inflict a crippling blow once his legion of followers arrive. It's shown that Deimos has no problem in getting finances and weapons.

6:50 Yeah the Keres Legion's bullets went through Rook's armor, but note that those were fired by a RIFLE in the comic, not by a revolver like in the cinematic. Since revolvers usually don't have as much potential to pierce armor since they develop less kinetic energy I think it makes sense that Rook survived.

In case you guys fear Mira and Doc got killed. Here is why they survive: Mira got hit on her upper right of the metal plate so it ricocheted ( 0:57 ). Even though it hit her in the plate so she could have got knocked down and blacked out due to the power of the shot. Doc have his visor protected him or at least it make so Deimos missed his face due to the how large it is ( 1:07 ). In real life, this can be plausible as the most protective visor can easy tank a .44 Magnum rounds no problem. However, blocking bullet is one problem but avoid your brain stomped into your own skull is another thing, thats why Doc got knocked out cold and perhasp need quite sometime to recover. He also gonna have permanent neck pain as well beacuse his head just turn 30 degree in an instant. Rook survived for obvious reason. Kind of funny that Deimos, being the big man himself, don't arm himself with a Assault Rifle like any other. EVEN THOUGH HE HAD A CARRIER FOR THE MAGAZINE ITSELF.

You would plan out your teams route in a building for the first half of a mission. Then the second half was you carting out the mission for whatever it was. Whenever you went to do so you would have to make up your team roster. Gerald Morris was one of the operators that you could play as. In the cartoon animation for the new season. The guy that is with Gerald and gets shot is another R6 operator from the first game known as Daniel Bogart. TLDR: DEMOS IS GERALD. GERALD WAS AND OPERATOR IN THE FIRST R6 GAME ALONG WITH DANIEL BOGART. THE CARTOON ANIMATION SHOWS GERALD WENT AGAINT THE BOOK AND KILLED DANIEL BLOWING UP THE WHOLE BUILDING AND FAKING HIS DEATH.

Nope what vigil is wearing is a ballistic face mask. On paper they are bulletproof but they’re just not because of the eye sockets and deformation in the mask allowing break through with nearly every caliber. What deimos is wearing is likely a customized resin mask to hide his identity and make him look intimidating.

I am a deimos main now. So let me see if I get it right. Gerald "deimos" morris was a former rainbow six operative that dates all the way back to the first r6 game. He and his buddy bogart were doing an incursion on a power plant stacked with explosives, they clear the room. He finds the bombs guy and realize that this are the same bombs planted in another terrorist attack in yugoslavia and finding out this bomb guy has been playing two flag ops. Deimos fed up with this cat and mouse BS goes rogue, kills his buddy and gets extracted by an unidentified (prolly the keres peeps) and he is declared kia. So the question is.... Why go after rainbow specifically, is it becasue they are the greater threat against his big master plan and wants to take them out or is his plan turn the government's against rainbow, avengers style

When rook got shot I was just remembering his operator vid where his teammate was shooting him. I also liked that we saw Sam fisher being more like the splinter cell fisher we know. Also this is just theories but I'm guessing the night haven guns might be his primary rifle, as for his secondaries I'm guessing he's getting a magnum and a deagle. As for his gadget idk I'm guessing on this but maybe he's going to use explosives because he knew his c4 stuff in the animation, but from the comic that kudos has mentioned maybe he will use AP bullets.

Looked it at 0.25x speed and here's what I found: Mira Shot at the top left of the armor so the bullet is most likely bounced off due to the design of Mira's chest piece which was to bounced off shots with angled and surface hardened material instead of straight up absorbing the momentum of the bullets. But even if the bullet penetrated, it would probably not cause any heavy injury because non of vital organs were hit. Doc Bullet hit his mask but not his head. However, the impact force will still transfer like as if he took a punch on his forehead. Rook The shot wasn't very clear, but based on how he flenched, my guess is it hit him in his left shoulder. So in conclusion, non of them was hit in places that would cause vital injuries. So whether Deimos wasn't trying to kill them and he meant they would be dead if he is really a threat to them. Or Rook, Mira or even NH came in at the last second to upgrade Rook's armor plates to withstand Deimos' Magnum. Easter eggs Doc was holding a super90 at 0:10 instead of the infamous French shotty. They thought we wouldn't notice, but I did. Rook was carrying his armor packs with the elite cosmetic look instead of regular one. Sam wearing his elite uniform. Definitely a good CG just like every year, but it kinda not hit as hard as last year. And the ending would've been better if it was Cav shotting Deimos instead of Rook and say her iconic line that was took by zero.

So took was shot by a revolver in the plate carrier that we know can take revolvers Mira was hit in the mid upper plate so either it ricochet or it went through with very little force on impact but she got knocked out or atleast down and she couldn’t get up if you look closely at doc he gets shot not full frontal but more to the side so either. The round missed his head or it got stuck in the face plate

Some things I would like to point out that seem like some nice touches that could very well be coincidences. The few I can think of are that the outfits in the flash back are very reminiscent of older Rainbow Six games and that Bogart is using a mp5sd which was the original weapon of choice for Rainbow in the book written by tom clancy that the games are based on.

little details, its proven b4 that rook can tank a 357 mag no issue its in his operator video. Its not unlikely to assume that its rated for a 44 mag round. Obv without confirmation from Ubi i cant say anything 100% but its very possible the entire sequence is planned in terms of rook going down since if you look at Sam and Demois durring the headlock scene, when Sam counters the headlock you see him locking Deimos's arm in 1:45 mark and Deimos even makes struggle movement which backs up that Sam locked Deimos in to provide an opening. I would also add to this that its not impossible to assume they knew Deimos had armor in his mask since Doc clearly had one and the tech in the R6 universe does not make such a thing a farfetched notion. I would say Deimos is for sure far superior to the likes of Mira Doc and Rook. If you consider the animated short where Sam took on Mira, Echo, Orix alone it makes sense. I terms of prowess i would say only Sam can be compared to Deimos but theres not enough data to come to a firm decision on whos suppoerior since this was a situation of capture not kill.

As someone who really appreciates realism, I *love* being able to see what an actual Rainbow 6 setup would look like in a "real" defense scenario. For all their faults, the team at Ubisoft usually does a great job at designing and explaining gadgets in ways that allow them to remain feasible in a realistic setting. Well, aside from the hologram ones lol

I wonder if you could make upgraded rook armor by breaking miras shield and using pieces of her bulletproof shield as a layer inducer on rooks armor (basically taking broken balistic glass and putting it in between the layers of his armor, unequivocally making it stronger.)

I know you’re making a joke but probably not honestly. The self revive animation for Rook’s armor plates, (there’s actually two, one for bullet damage and one for other sources like explosives, but I’m talking about the bullet one) shows your character taking the bullets out and throwing them aside, implying that they didn’t penetrate the body, you’re just suffering from blunt force trauma.

What I see from this, night maps will be back, new gun not sure if it’s a DMR or an assault rifle( I think it would be cool if it was an assault rifle with high damage low ammo) like 21 bullets and slower fire rate. New revolver which Deimos used, and lastly the one I’m not happy about is no one shot head shot I don’t know if that is what it’s implying but with both Deimos and doc getting shot in the face but still being ok I think that’s the only thing it can mean but maybe I’m looking to deeply into it hopefully

Ok so I heard that Deimos has the same face mask as Vigil (just slightly different in design) which has the ability to stand up to 9mm bullets which happens to be the same caliber used for the P9 and if you look closely that is what Rook shot him in the face with. Doc didn't survive a headshot, he just got lucky. It looked like the bullet went thru, and if that's true then that means he was shot at just the right angle to avoid death. The room was dark, Deimos has sunglasses built into him mask so he would see with a purple or dark grey hue, and Doc's face plate is wide and reflective.

The headshot thing is probably you looking too far into it, if they removed it the game would be basically impossible for attackers because the defenders have Thunderbird, Doc and Rook, allowing them to get a max overheal of 165 if they’re a three-armor and effectively infinite healing from the T-Bird stations, while the attackers only have Finka for heals.

Deimos’s masks said that the recruit is the key to rainbow then he leaves his plans out for rainbow to find. And get caught on purpose. So my guess is recruit rework is going to be a keres member who gets into rainbow to sow division among the squads. Making them fight each other. Deimos gets away at the end of season 2 and rainbow is in ruins and shattered. Kinda like civil war in the mcu.

So we know that deimos was ex rainbow now but my question is that in the battlepass you think we are going to get a skin of him with that beanie on? and also there might be a theory that he could have a AK as his main weapon along side that revolver of his.
