Also consider that in the logbook it says that after finishing his week, Jeremy felt like someone was following him home. EDIT sorry I made this before actually watching this is already stated in the video

My personal headcanon after The Week Before released is that Mangle did the bite, which is why the Toys were scrapped, but Foxy was permanently out of order for the reopening because he and Mangle are BOTH “Foxy”. The company knew they could keep the withered Foxy animatronic because it didn’t bite anyone, but stored it in its cove because that CHARACTER bit someone. Similar to how Fredbear is treated after The Bite of ‘83 where they keep some Fredbear suits around as spares but never have them public and change its name after the bite, even though none of the Golden Freddy suits in FNaF 1 and 2 were the actual one who bit CC. If Foxy actually bit someone, wouldn’t they scrap him too?

True, since the book outright said Phone Guy knew Foxy didn’t even bite anyone but someone just like him did, the only foxy before ‘94 other than the one from ITP is Mangle. Funny enough I had a headcanon that Foxy being Out of Order had something to do with the Bite of ‘87 and now it’s confirmed in the Week Before while not him specifically biting anyone, it’s obviously Mangle now.

I felt like it was clearly Mangle from the start and honestly almost every piece of evidence added over the years has only had me more sold on it. They ARE a Foxy after all. Toy Chica was always a fun alternative proposed but I never really went with it.

Yeah, every piece of evidence for Foxy also links to Mangle, plus Mangle has more going for it. It doing the bite would be backed up by the FNaF2 jumpscare and the toys being taken apart in favor of fixing the withereds. It would make no sense for them to fix up Foxy if he did the bite, keeping him around but closing him off if they knew he COULD do something like the bite checks out.

In FNAF 2, phone guy only refers to Mangle as Foxy. He specifically says that some employees call him Mangle, implying that he isn't one of those employees. I'm pretty sure he considers Mangle and Foxy to be the same character. So even if Mangle did the bite, then he would say Foxy did the bite.

I feel like Mangle probably still did the bite, as they are a Foxy and are basically interchangable with Mangle to Ralph (he consistently refers to Mangle as only HE when they are usually also referred to with she, he doesn't say "They had to replair Toy Foxy every day" he just says Foxy as if it's the same character)

Here’s how I think it went down In the survival logbook, Jeremy mentions that he feels like he’s being followed home. The week before shows that the animatronics are able to follow people home and hunt them down. So here’s how it goes .Jeremy returns home after his final night . Foxy follows Jeremy but is unable to find his house or is unable to get in . The next day Jeremy wakes up and gets ready for his dayshift job, but foxy can still walk during the day so he’s able to follow Jeremy . Jeremy makes it to the dayshift before any customer show up . Foxy surprise attack him removing the frontal lobe and returning back into the storage room. . Employee show up see that Jeremy is absolutely cooked They called the hospital yada yada yada

It had to have been one of the toys (except for BB) since the Toys where scraped a week after they where made, the withereds aren’t even ment to move and where already in the back so just take off their legs and keep using the toys that didn’t do anything Foxy is out of order cuz he moves erratically tearing his suit

"Uh, those older ones shouldn't be able to walk around, but if they do, the whole Freddy head trick should work on them too, so... whatever." -Phone Guy, FNAF 2, Night 4 they where not meant to move period, if one did freakout and barge out P&S and bit someone why would you throw away the new Toys it's like if you bought a new car for "a small fortune" and it's front bumper looked a bit too mutch like a face and made some people uncomfortable, but then your old car's break snaps and it bursts out of your garage and kill someone, then you decide to scrap your new car and partially fix the old car

Uh, they even started retrofitting them with *some of the newer technology.* also, the toys were scrapped BEFORE THE BITE ROBOTS SCRAPPED Freddy Fazbear’s is closing After being open only a few short weeks, Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza is closing it’s doors. The new animatronics will be scrapped due to possible malfunctions, however the original characters are being kept in hopes of a possible reorganization of the company. “It’s a minor setback. We are confident that we will reopen someday, even if it is with a much smaller budget.” -CEO Fazbear Ent.

@@RaisinHook the parts and service door is always opened ]also, the talbert files says that withered foxy was seeing roaming around with manevolent eyes "i'd only been on night shift for about a week, but I was so relieved to be switched over to the day shift. There’s a lot of stress working 12 a.m.-6 a.m. My boss had told me that the animatronics were acting strangely-almost aggressive toward the staff-but I wasn’t about to let that scare me off. After work I had an unsettling feeling that I was being followed home . . ."-logbook so he didn't stay close to the toys since they were deactivated

Personally, I am under the belief that it was Mangle. Explains why the toys are scrapped, but also explains why Foxy is out of order. They're both the same type of Character with similar builds.

@Sonicmid Nah, that’s what FNaF World calls him. Besides Mangle IS a Toy, them being a Carousel doesn’t mean anything as Mangle was also a toy in FNaF4 and so were the other toys in FNaF4 and ITP.

6:48 - "There wasn't a single mention of 1987 anywhere in the game." You'd definitely be forgiven for thinking this. Hell, I don't even know why they're there but there are _dozens_ of 1987 easter eggs. There's a reason some people thought (and some even *still* think) that the game took place in 1987 and it's because there are quite a few mentions. For example, the kids in the Night 3 minigame are references to FNAF2. The kid with the Spring Bonnie finger trap has his sprite made in a way where it looks like his arm is gone, like Withered Bonnie. There's the balloon kid like balloon boy. The laughing kid on the sidewalk is posed like the Withered's sitting on the ground. Of course the blonde girl has the *Toy* animatronics but also she's posed exactly like Withered Chica in the T Pose. Mangle (or at least a toy of Mangle) is in the sister's room. That one girl with the pigtails says all the animatronics move around at night which is a reference to FNAF 1 and 2. And of course the whole game, like FNAF2, is building up to a Birthday. Strangely, if you look at the FNAF 2 phone calls, you can also loosely connect them with what we see in each minigame of FNAF 4. It's very strange, minimalist storytelling and I don't really have any reason or explanation for it (outside of, "it was originally planned for 1987 and then changed at the last minute" which... might be true? But I don't wanna say it) Also, gud video :)

Thinking about the FNAF 4 Nightmare Foxy teaser, it actually sounds like a straight up confirmation Out of order inside of Foxy's mouth 87 hidden in his eye Inside his mouth, "out of order", 87 that's just straight up a confirmation holy shit

I've always been under the impression that it was Mangle that did the bite and, of course, Mangle is Toy Foxy, so still counts as 'a Foxy' doing the bite of '87.

Tbf, I believe it’s Mangle, still… Given how the same book had Ralph say “What would it be like without a frontal lobe” when Freddy was close to him makes me think Foxy didn’t literally do it. The way Ralph emphasizes the word “kids” makes me think that it’s Mangle, hence they’re referred as Foxy as well. They were made for kids of course, and it’s possible that they could’ve stalked Jeremy each time to try to launch onto him. And my headcanon would be that the employees decided to tease Foxy due to his descendant causing the Bite with the flashing gimmick. And I believe Fazbear forced Ralph to put Foxy Out Of Order so that there won’t be another Foxy incident at Freddy’s. I just don’t really see it as Withered Foxy doing it during the day, rather I believe Mangle is just stalking Fitzgerald just to try to kill him. I’m glad that the Bite of 87 is getting relevance, but I’m gonna wait for the second movie to say something about FNAF 2 lore. Feel free to disagree

So, honestly, I think that we always had the answer to who did the Bite of 87... but I don't think it was Foxy but Golden Freddy XD Look, the date of "1987" was since the first game and the only thing that we knew about it was that the animatronics were active since then and that the accindent happened in this year... but there is more one thing, the easter egg in the custom night screen. Knowing that the popularity of this first game suprised Scott and it wasn't supposed to have a continuation, I really think that easter egg was Scott just throwing in our faces the culprit of the Bite. And, maybe the '87 teasers of FNaF4 was a reference to that? The plot of the entire game is around Fredbear and CC, and is a lot of paralels beetween FNaF4 and FNaF2.

My personal retrospective on who did the bite of 87 is that Golden Freddy did it. I mean looking back on the only two explicit references to the bite of 87 we ever actually got in-game: 1. In fnaf 1 the 1987 easter egg gives the Golden Freddy jumpscare. Clearing linking the bite to Golden Freddy. 2. In the lead up to fnaf 4 Scott was teasing the bite of 87 in every single teaser image and in his source code where there were a lot of random 87s inserted. Neither of these explicit references to the bite back up the common community theories of Mangle or Toy Chica doing the bite. So why then did fnaf 4 only have the bite of 83 and nothing to do with the bite of 87? Did Scott change his mind and retcon it last minute? Was it just to trick us? Well I personally believe the bite of 83 is linked to the bite of 87 in that its what inspired the bite to happen. Crying Child who was bitten and then possesses Golden Freddy later repeats what happened to him on another person.

Foxy was out of order because he was just broken. If Foxy actually bit someone he would've absolutely been dismantled. Plus 6 years had passed between FNAF 2 and 1, he wouldn't have been behind the curtain the entire time.
