Hey bro definitely not hating at all glad your making tundra content , just a heads up straight piping a car is just that ,straight pipes from the header all the way back meaning zero cats What you did was simply a muffler delete . Also the carvens you got sound great but I promise you that your loosing low end torque Look into dirty deeds exhausts. Literally the ONLY catback that adds Performance to the tundra. Just got a Flowmaster FX dual side exhaust for my 2008 5.7 Tundra. Sounds amazing! Not too loud while driving normally. Aggressive driving is a different story.😊 Especially while using the sequential down shifting. Good sounding burbles without obnoxious backfiring.

Thanks for checking out the video! I don't remember the exact part number, but it will be easy to use the vehicle filter on Amazon, or on the Carven website, to find the right muffler. My opening (on both sides of the muffler) is a 3" opening, and I needed a 3" to 2" adapter to install the muffler on the exhaust system.

Copy and paste: "DNA Motoring HL-TUN07-BK (Black and Amber)" Enter that into the search field on Amazon and you'll see those headlights. Also, my lift is a 6" Rough Country Lift. Hey, man! I appreciate you checking out the channel and the videos. HUGE HELP!!! 1) Congrats on your Tundra purchase! They're thirsty trucks, but other than that, they are GREAT!!! 2) I mean this in a respectful way ... your friend has NO IDEA what he is talking about. A Tundra with a muffler-delete DOES NOT sound like a Honda Civic!!!! AT ALL!!!! When I deleted the muffler, the truck was so loud that it was almost embarrassing to drive in the city. It was super-loud and aggressive. There was a lot of drone in the cab. So much so that I bought the Carven mufflers to tame it down a bit. 3) Try this ... get the muffler deleted and drive around for a week or two. See if you like it. Definitely take it to your friend's place and rev the engine in front of his house /apartment building 🤣🤣🤣. If you think that it's too loud, you can always have another aftermarket muffler installed. Whatever you choose to do, have fun with your build, man!

That's EXACTLY what I did (I got the Carvens as a back-up). When the muffler is deleted, you'll basically have a dual exhaust system. You can do 1 of 2 things: 1) Have the exhaust dump underneath the truck. You'll hear (and feel) the sound rumble underneath the truck. 2) Have them add piping (like on my truck), so it dumps out the back. Have a blast, Bro!!!!

@@toyotaFANatic81 So, I went this am and had the muffler chopped off. Needless to say, I have spent most of my day driving around wasting gas😂. This thing sounds amazing! No rattling or popping like what I thought may have occured. Just straight throaty bass. My single flowmaster 40 was maybe a 4 out of 10 on the loud scale. Now, this puppy is a 9.5 out of 10 on that scale! I really do enjoy it and dont see myself installing the Carvens. They are set to arrive tomorrow. I’ll probably just return them. Subbed. Having muffler delete done to my 2011 Sequoia. I suspect I'll end up adding the perf muffler like you did if it's too loud or too much droning. It's a daily driver. Just got it lifted. Waiting on 35s to come in.

After you delete that muffler, you'll know fairly quickly whether you want to keep it that way or get a muffler similar to mine to take the edge off of the sound. @@toyotaFANatic81 Well, I had the delete performed yesterday. It sounds awesome from outside. No rasp or popping. Sounds like a vette. I'm so happy with it. The only issue, and it may be a deal-breaker for my wife (she hasn't ridden in it yet) is the drone. Between 1800 and 2200 rpm, it's headache-inducing inside. I've found other forums where they discuss what works best for canceling the droning without changing the volume or sound. Turns out adding a properly tuned "j-pipe" to the stream creates a destructive waveform that cancels out the drone. Lots of positive results, so I'm going back to the exhaust guy. He's hear of it, so I've got my fingers crossed. For our vehicles, it should be between 31 and 35" long. Will be a tight fit. As for other mods, nothing more than lift, wheels and rims. May blackout windows, get a heavy duty brush guard cargo rack. Should look like an off-road 4Runner on steroids.

@@leroystrokesmen5666 sorry brother let insurance take care of it they ended paying $5100 to get my truck back up and running but I invested on a skid plate so it don't happen again $460 but the kicker was the put reg bolts on like 13mm socket they can remove it but I went to a muffler shot told them to put a tick weld on the bolts so they can't put a socket on it and if they wanna take it off the have to waist alot of time on removing the weld b4 removing the bolts this is what I did

Thanks for checking out the video. There are no resonators in the Tundra exhaust system. The truck just has four cats and a muffler. My stock muffler has been replaced by two Carven R-Series Mufflers, and I still have the catalytic converters on the truck.

The Tundra's alarm system was there from the beginning. The 2-way remote starter is a cheaper Chinese product from FORTIN. The product # is FORTIN RM 442-2w. So far, so good. No issues yet.

Hey, man!!! Thank you for subscribing and checking out the video. That's a HUGE help for this channel. The Carven mufflers helped eliminate most of the drone inside and outside the cab. It's more of a low grumble when you're cruising. It still roars when you open up the throttle. Best of both worlds!! I'm very please with the mufflers. You should watch the Carven muffler video (the one that I made right after this video). In that Carven video, I do a better job explaining how the Carvens work and how the truck sounds afterward.
