Edit: I just rewatched it with sound, and holy shit man. Marilyn Manson, 30 Seconds to Mars, the cars, the chopper, it's insane!!! Should even be above the hype category haha!

Personally, that NFS: Rivals one is 10/10. It's just so good and full of emotion. Always gets me to the brink of tearing up and I legitimately have no idea why. But it's the only one that does, so it's a definite Hype tier for me.

The trailer is okay as I think something that puts it down is how the voices overlap each other and the cops voice just doesn’t sound like someone to take down the best racer in the state but whatever, skill beats appearance.

Based on your judgement of hot pursuit I’m gonna guess you’ve never been to the US or travelled on its roads 😅 That is pretty much how most roads between towns are, endless, without many exits, and lots of straights. There are long sections where you don’t even get a gas station for over an hour in the middle of the desert. Honestly that game captured American roads so well. I played it back when I was a teen and once I started traveling by car around the US, I was pretty happy to see really similar places as in Hot Pursuit

Whatever people say about Rivals Man.. I LOVE NEED FOR SPEED RIVALS... The map, The atmosphere and environment, beautiful day night circle, long Highway, forest, seaside view, construction side, farmhouse, airport, Iceland everything just beautiful... Racer vs cops chase and we can bust each other, 1v1 free roaming races and bust them it's hell of a fun ...JUST PERFECT. And I quit HEAT in the middle of the game I felt dull and boring. PLAYBACK was okay in terms of graphics because we've got the first time in game daytime with the frostbite 3 engine.. That one of the hype was made when the payback trailer was dropped. NFS 2015 has a beautiful night city.. The style, Cool light rain effects, Car sound.. Beautiful night racing vibe. IMO..NFS Rivals was a complete sandbox NFS game... Yes this game has cons points too.. But still I love it. 🍻

HP2010 was pure OG Need For Speed. The movie was WAY after HP2010; the plot was ahem modeled after The Run... "cross country race for money..." NFS2010: The trailer having all the original places and having stock cars with no customization it had no pop-culture references, no antagonist, no story, just a simple progression style game and you started out in the slowest cars, and got a taste of the hypercars sprinkled in. Everyone complains about throwaway charaters and pointless plots; yet when they remove the plot/charaters the younger crowd doesn't like it. But stepping away from that and going into the world of street racing etc UG1 Intro/Trailer is epic, even though UG1/2 had a "closed" open world with hit boxes etc keeping you in the boundaries of the "map" in the case of UG1, no map just a set track loaded and thats it. Pre-Underground; Hot Pursuit II and High stakes had the best intro/trailer.
