Now I know why Mike doesn't read the comments anymore. Everyone is an accomplished Bible scholar. Every claim he makes has resources to support them. It's actually not new information. He may not be mainstream or of your denomination, but probably knows more than your pastor, and most likely everyone here, definitely me. So I appreciate greatly how he connects dots throughout scripture and has increased my knowledge of God's plan, as well as Hebrew and Greek. My salvation is secure. This is next level stuff. You just may not get it or want to see it.

He doesn’t read comments because for all his study he still thinks the Eternal One is a trinity which is false furthermore it seems not many people realised that he made a huge mistake at the beginning saying that Adam and Eve were banished from Eden for eating the fruit from the tree of life, no they were banished so that they wouldn’t, basic error but fundamentally erroneous doctrine but you are all too busy worshiping his knowledge “cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart turns away from YHWH” if you don’t know where that reference is and more besides suggest you stop watching this demon fanboy and read the scriptures.

how I explained it to another fellow: The Scriptures is like the instruction manual: it teaches you how to play the game. The Book of Enoch is not an instruction manual: it is Lore. The Book of Enoch is the gateway to Judaism and magic. I haven't seen anyone reading Enoch and then coming to faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ (which is not in Enoch), but I have seen thousands of people leave the faith into Torah observance and Gnosticism.
@KingdomInterest7 ай бұрын
@@crutherfordmusicthe danger is in whether one approaches it from a Gnostic perspective or not. When approached as secret, hidden Scripture that has been removed from the Bible to keep the masses ignorant (an inherently Gnostic framing) then yes, it will lead people away. When approached as *not* Scripture but indicative to the cognitive landscape of the time of Christ and even as a source of polemic (ie the Scriptures *correct* Enoch) then it is edifying. The same can be said of comparative theology of other ancient near eastern religions. To understand how the Bible corrects the claims of the religions of the Egyptians, Canaanites, Mesopotamians, Assyrians, etc we need to read their stories. Doing this while trusting the Bible deepens our understand and love for Him; doing this without trusting the Bible can make someone like Bart Ehrman.

No one could ever explain the difference between idiology and idolatry. If someone regurgitate some definition it is because they did not listen to the question or they are part of the problem. I like how he says seed for thought. Not saying this is absolutely the truth, or that is absolutely false. What he is doing is, encouraging the listener to think outside the parameters of conventional ideas. To me that makes perfect sense because then you go back and participate, by doing your own leg work. Referencing and reading for yourself and allow you to decide. I love that. Personally, getting people to start thinking for themselves and then come to an agreement is worth much more than blindly let a human stand on a pedestal telling you what is essentially only their opinion.

CONTEXT of 'THE LAW' spoken of in Galatians 3, is also given in Galatians 3:17 What I mean is this: THE LAW that came 430 years later DOES NOT REVOKE THE COVENANT previously established by God, so as to nullify the promise. 18 For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on a promise; but God freely granted it to Abraham through a promise. So it's not the 10 Commandments, but THE PRIESTHOOD LAW of Sacrifice & Oblation as needed to establish a High Priest in a Earthly Temple. The 10 Commandments however were very well known to all mankind as far back as Cain & Abel, otherwise how could Cain have known that it was unlawful to kill his brother, and then LIE to God about it? You will also note that this murder came about because of COVETOUSNESS over a SACRIFICAL offering. So what Sacrifice do you suppose they were offering and for what reason? Do you suppose it could have been the Passover? Perhaps thats why Paul says in Acts 18:21 ... I MUST BY ALL MEANS KEEP THIS FEAST WHICH COMETH IN JERUSALEM... Perhaps it's also why Paul said in Colossians 2:16 Therefore let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a Feast, a New Moon, or a Sabbath. 17 These are a shadow of the things to come, BUT THE BODY THAT CASTS IT BELONGS TO CHRIST. And Paul also says in Eph 5:30 WE ARE MEMBERS OF HIS BODY... Now Peter warns us that Pauls writing can be difficult for many to understand, but it's very clear to me that these Feasts, New Moon Days, and Sabbath Days are the SHADOWS that THE BODY OF CHRIST is supposed to continue to cast, and that we should not let anyone judge us for doing so. Well the Romans most certainly judged the Christians for doing so, didn't they? They murdered Christians in various ways for refusing to follow the Roman Julian Calendar - THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST. Daniel 7 forewarned that this 4th BEAST would think to change the Religious Festivals and Laws, and they almost accomplished it. Today Millions of people who profess to be Christians have been DECEIVED TO WORSHIP THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST. By following the Roman pagan calendar, they are DECEIVED TO BUY & SELL WHEN THEY SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO - Neh 10:31 ...ON SABBATHS, OR ON ANY HOLY DAY... Do Christians really need to keep the Feasts? Well Acts 2 tells me YES! As does the testimony of Paul, and Peter who called Paul a BELOVED BROTHER, despite Paul publicly rebuking Peter at Antioch, over his circumcision covenant hypocrisy.

My mom would fair out better if she had less money but the vultures are swarming. This is so sad and my sisters were raised better.‘’ There are a million statistics showing how single mothers are a scourge on humanity. Don’t perpetuate this cycle of single mothers raising single mothers and boys who end up in prison. Think of the misery you will be causing to an innocent child. While the potential is there to make barren couples happy, there is also the likelihood that you will be enabling a single mother to ruin another child. YOUR child. As long as the government is fighting unwinnable wars, they will need bodies. Paying single moms to spit out children (through government welfare) while discouraging abortions is going to create more single mothers in poverty; Uncle Sam is hoping the men end up in the military while the women become knocked-up single moms just like their mothers did. If the men turn out to be useless, they can always be part of the industrial prison complex instead. In other words: CHRONIC CONSTIPATION IN THE BOWELS AND ORGANS. This is known since adam and eve, since about 6000 years. Empty the body of morbid matter and you recover from ANY so called 'dis-eases' 100% of the time. The constantly changing, self contradictory narrative(s) is(are) a psychological weapon they are deploying, designed to disengage and depress the populace, so they give up thinking and just accept whatever they are told. They will fake the alien invasion. But this alien invasion will not be hostile, they will present this as the second coming of Jesus. And they'll have a fake Jesus, pseudo-Christ (what many, due to the loose translation of the original Greek, call anti-christ; in the original text the word is pseudo-christ, fake christ) and fake Jesus is gonna tell you to be good and take your vaccines and all that. They'll be able to project holographic images everywhere of jesus and alien angels and all that, and 5g network will help them out I think. The 4th being is "hidden" inside the 4D Pentachoron. My guess is the 4th being is Yaldabaoth/Devil/Darkness/Chaos. ☯️ yin yang. Have to have darkness and light. Day and night. Dr Heiser, we would love to see you do a video on the Greek word “epiousion” as found in the Lord’s Prayer, which has been omitted in the West. It seems to relate to the idea of “bread from heaven” and manna; indicating the “daily bread” really means supernatural nourishment every day. Could relate to your idea of having to daily choose to follow Christ.

I've often thought the story of Job as a foreshadowing of the entire meta-strory. The devil says man will only give glory to God if man has an easy life, so God says okay then make man's life difficult and I'll prove you wrong. So the watchers fall, make this life much more tempting and difficult, and God gives mankind a choice to accept redemption. We're in the story of Job.

I hope this bring clarity. Under the old covenant those people were still under the old Adam. So they had the old nature. The law and works were there to keep their heart focused. But Because of Jesus, He was full of grace and truth. Grace is the power to overcome sin. Now we live Jesus' life, now we have the ability to overcome sin.. The new nature has the law written on our hearts, so we don't desire evil, be we are now free to do good and sow to the things of the spirit and not the flesh. Because our old nature is dead. There are two verses: Galatians 6:7-10 King James Version 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. James 2:14-26 New King James Version Faith Without Works Is Dead 14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without [a]your works, and I will show you my faith by [b]my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe-and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is [c]dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made [d]perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was [e]accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Published by Mohr Siebeck this week: The Origin and Persistence of Evil in Galatians by Tyler A. Stewart. In this study, Tyler A. Stewart investigates narrative explanations for evil in Galatians set in the context of Second Temple Judaism and early Christianity. Scholarship has typically interpreted Paul's view of evil based on Adam's fall or a mere reflex of Christology. In contrast, the author argues that in Galatians Paul's view of evil is based on the narrative of rebellious angels found in the Book of Watchers. Additionally, he claims that Paul's use of Enochic tradition is consistent with Second Temple Jewish literature and finds support in early Christian reception of Galatians.
@frankotten21842 жыл бұрын
Alternative is his dissertation "The Present Evil Age": The Origin and Persistence of Evil in"The Present Evil Age": The Origin and Persistence of Evil in Galatians at Marquette University. Abstract: This dissertation investigates the origin and persistence of evil in Galatians within the context of Second Temple Judaism and early Christianity. The focus of investigation is narrative explanation(s) for evil. What story and/or stories were told to explain the original cause of evil and why it persists in the present? The study begins with a history of research that separates current scholarly accounts of Paul’s view of evil into two broad categories, Adamic template and Christological novum. According to the Adamic template, evil originates in Adam’s sin and persists in human rebellion in the likeness of the Protoplast. According to the Christological novum, Paul’s view of evil is merely a reflex of his Christology. My research challenges both categories.I make four claims about evil in Paul, Second Temple Judaism, and early Christianity. First, Paul’s argument in Galatians, especially Gal 3:19-4:11, is informed by Enochic tradition (chapters two and five). In Galatians Paul’s view of evil is based on the Enochic narrative of rebellious angels. Second, among first century Jews, Adamic and Enochic traditions were not separated as inherently incompatible narrative explanations of evil (chapter three). Jewish authors commonly cited multiple traditions to articulate their theology of evil, producing a mixed template. Third, the function of Adamic and Enochic traditions are determined by the contexts in which they appear (chapters three and four). Adamic tradition, for example, does not indicate that evil is an essentially human problem from start to finish that absolves God (chapter three). Likewise, Enochic tradition does not blame superhuman forces for evil and abdicate human responsibility (chapter four). These traditions do not conform to strict patterns of meaning in the ways that modern scholarship often assumes. Fourth, an Enochic reading of Galatians 3:19-4:11 is supported by the early reception of Paul (chapter six). Among second century Christian apologists, especially Justin Martyr, Paul’s arguments in Galatians are redeployed and explicitly combined with an Enochic narrative.

I would disagree, respectfully that Enoch Is/Was not an "inspired" work, as it has become a crucial work in these "latter days" in understanding the mystical and supernatural nature of the Cosmic relationship between all the heavenly beings that make up the major players in the end times. Enoch has only become a major focus for the truly aware and connected, in the last few decades, there's most certainly a reason for that. We're told that towards the end "knowledge will increase" at an exponential rate, and this and other writings (Nag Hammadi, Dead Sea Scrolls and others) are precisely what was spoken of.

The "New Perspective" is that Paul's primary point in his epistles, when distinguishing the covenants, was that the ethnic barriers between Jew and Gentile had been torn down. New Perspectivists also tend to have a nebulous view on salvation by grace alone through faith alone, as they say it wasn't Paul's point to address this issue. The New Perspective is right about some things (such as Paul being against ethnocentrism), but it really doesn't account for numerous passages that we find in Galatians and Romans which very clearly indicate that Paul believed the Law and Gospel were based on different terms (Galatians 3:12). The Law was based on works, and the Gospel is based on grace through faith (Romans 4, 7, 9, and especially 10 make this very clear). It isn't just about the national Laws of Israel with which Paul is concerned, but the most basic of moral ones (You Shall Not Covet is an example from Romans 7). Salvation cannot be based on anything but God's grace received through faith. New Perspectivists minimize this understanding of Paul's work, and gut the very plot twist of the Bible. No one is good but God alone. That is why we must share his righteousness and we cannot earn life through the Way of Law.

The most interesting part about the argumentative comments I see here is that arguing here proves the point to those who read scripture that he is the real deal. You prove, by arguing here, that he is of Yahusha/Jesus, because of John 15:16-21. To paraphrase verse 20, “...if they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have guarded my word they will guard yours also.” I think the best option here, is if you disagree and are unable to receive counsel (Proverbs 12:15), keep your comment to yourself, or you risk falling into the same role the Pharisees did when Yahusha walked on this earth: always looking for fallacies and opportunities to trip up and accuse because, well, see John 8:41-47. You all stay blessed in the name of Yahusha. I love you ✅

"It was added because of transgressions". Notice that he didn't say it was Adam and Eve's transgressions (although it certainly could apply to any human being). When was the Law given? Was it given immediately after Adam and Eve were ejected from the Garden? No. It was given (added) in the Sinai desert. What were the people doing while Moses was up in that mountain? Pretty much violating (transgressing) every law given there. It was added because they were offending the very One who saved them from bondage. To read anything more into it than that is to go way off the deep end.
@Nighthawkinlight2 жыл бұрын
Agreed. In the context Paul makes clear he's talking about the mosiac law, delivered to human beings 430 years after Abraham with plenty of transgressions in between. The fall of Adam is nowhere in mind in the passage. 17 This is what I mean: the law, which came 430 years afterward, does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to make the promise void. 18 For if the inheritance comes by the law, it no longer comes by promise; but God gave it to Abraham by a promise. 19 Why then the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the offspring should come to whom the promise had been made, and it was put in place through angels by an intermediary. 20 Now an intermediary implies more than one, but God is one. (Galatians 3:17-20)

This is interesting. Paul also wrote this verse and he was well trained in the law by a accomplished teacher of the law in his day. Romans 4:15 KJVS [15] Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. So it appears to be a contradiction. But upon further study these verses may explain the apparent contradiction. Exodus 16:4 KJVS [4] Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no. The law was one that was perhaps spoken by Moses because God issued them. Abraham also obeyed God’s law which he spoke to Abraham. Genesis 26:5 KJVS [5] Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Do they know the Gospel, the meaning of forgiveness, the reality of the resurrection, the inheritance Christians have in Christ, the difference between law and grace, the difference between faith and works, and other important topics? They don't understand these things so they run to topics like the Nephilim, the book of Enoch, etc because they don't know what God has given to them in Christ. When asked why we dont have faith, he said because of evil. Jesus, the perfect man was hung on a tree in a garden. Religious men called him guilty for identifying as a Son of God. They too thought they were sons of God. Yet Jesus told them if they had known his father they would have known him too. His father is the God of Abraham isaac and Jacob. The God of promise. Jesus is that tree of life for in him was the fullness of God. The living God was in him reconciling the world unto himself. Dr. Heiser.. Based on what you were saying that the law was a restrainer for the watchers. Absolutely could believe that, i fGod was making a people they needed to know what and what not to do. It was their standard for living and morality. But importantly, who to follow and who not to follow ie. The Watchers, unclean spirits. That being said, in 2 Thessalonians where it speaks of the restrainer having to be removed before the man of lawlessness is revealed, could what youre're describing be used in the same context in 2 Thessalonians? Meaning the Law has to be removed before the man of lawlessness is revealed. There is the pronoun he in the scripture so, that kind of confuses me a bit. Am I on the right track?

Fasting and prayer is mentioned often in the scriptures. Fasting seems to serve a purpose or utility. Would be interesting to hear from Heiser as to why this is concerning fasting and this practice as to why it is prescribed. Could this also have to do with the transgressions of the Watchers when they were instructed not to eat of food once sent to earth to help and instruct mankind, yet they disobeyed and chose to eat food? Could this have to do with the sin in the Garden of Eden having to do with eating of the Tree of Life as well? What does refraining from eating actually do and what does it do when accompanied with prayer? I searched his podcast to see if something specific was posted concerning fasting, but found nothing done on this topic.

@@bradleyperry1735 Thanks for the reply. Yes, I can understand why this is the fundamental reason for fasting as a form of asceticism, but the scriptures seem to indicate that fasting can result in a spiritual recognition and consideration on the part of the Lord and can actually be used as a practice used to have prayers answered, to receive blessings and even alter or shape physical events within this material world. So I have to wonder if fasting has some deeper connections regarding anything referencing "eating" in the Scriptures as well

Hey everyone. Would someone, anyone, please help me understand this point he's making about "transgression" vs "transgressionS"? Just started reading Reversing Hermon this week, and I came to this point in Section III; and I can't shake what seems to be an obvious counterpoint that "transgressions" could indicate those of humanity. Why is the mass of humanity not a candidate for the plurality of trangressions? Appreciate any insight.

@@truthbebold4009 Assuming that you're correct, and having read some of his works, I'd think that Heiser's conclusion is based on Gen 1:26 "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness," with the plurals understood literally and in the context of his Divine Council Worldview. At point 1:46, Heiser says that the sin of Adam and Eve was eating from the "tree of life." He paused, and still did not catch his own error. No, their sin was eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil as it says in Genesis 2:17 and 3:22. Such a simple error, but yet Heiser didn't catch it, but he should have. And the sad thing is, Heiser has made many errors in interpretation which neither he nor his "fans" have caught, such as his misreading of Psalm 82 as speaking of "divine beings" in God's "council" (as if God needs a "council" to consult with), his total distortions of Deuteronomy 32 and 4:19, and how he puts too much emphasis on non-canonical books like the fraudulent book of Enoch.

I honestly think Dr. Heiser is wrong on this one. The Pentateuch, the prophets, Jewish and early Christian tradition point otherwise. The "transgressions" are referent to the golden calf. If anyone wants sources, just ask. I have the texts in Portuguese but I could translate them.
@lilchristuten75682 жыл бұрын
I think he's wrong but it isn't just about the golden calf, it's about all sin, all transgressions made by mankind. Not only is the premise of this teaching a lie, it also doesn't make sense. What would the sins of the supposed "watchers" have to do with God giving the Israelites the law? According to the book of enoch (which he seems to think is scripture) God dealt with the "watchers" and He wiped out all mankind who had dealings with them.
@leonardobarbieri12922 жыл бұрын
@@lilchristuten7568 And it's also kind of dangerous to attribute humanity's sins and guilt to angels. The book of Enoch is an old interpretation of Scripture IN LIGHT OF BABYLONIAN MYTHS, but it's not Scripture itself. But what I meant is that there are a lot of evidences all over the Bible and the Jewish tradition about "the law" having been given for the transgression of the golden calf. Originally the Israelites would live only with the ten commandments, without sacrifice and the Levitical/ceremonial laws.

All biblical texts ,even non canon books are very useful when it comes to greater understanding and knowledge, which many of originally were canon but Rome changed that, however the book of Enoch by definition is probably the most inspired text ever written. Enoch was one of the only 2 men to never die, he was the only man to ever be shown literally everything in existence and how it works, on earth space, heaven and hell. That's literally what he asked God for, he wanted to know everything and God showed him. If anyone to ever live would know what they are talking about it's Enoch.

@@hartfartpoptart not really, majority of the the old and new testament were not written by their alleged authors either, (which in reality God wrote them all through man's fingers) but to be technical the book of Enoch is a collection of quoted writings by Enoch, and the oral teachings handed down from Adam, Enoch was the first to write any of it down. @@hartfartpoptart also just to note, when Solomon's temple was destroyed every existing text burned with it(aside from some that existed in secret in places like Egypt etc but none of those were even discovered until modern times) but when the temple was destroyed all the writings went with it, but God sent one of his prophets(I believe it was Jeremiah or zechariah) into the wilderness with a group of good writers(scribes etc) who for 40 days and nights they wrote down what God told the prophet to say, and that is actually how the books are "inspired" as well as like I mentioned every "mistake" we've made is part of God's plan and will achieve his goals no matter what. Including mistranslations and interpretations in the new testament, they are no accident. But once they were finished they had re written all of the old testament plus an additional atleast 40 something books that God to the prophet to seal up and hide away until the end of days, those extra books were "accidentally" found in 1947 btw
