Ah yes... the last time I darkened the door of my home church, I came away nearly in tears. I felt like I had been in children's church. The message was just so vapid. I'm truly saddened. However... I have found a community on-line and we pray and share together 7 nights per week, often for multiple hours per night. "Doing church" daily is so much deeper than "Sunday go to meetin'." Praise the Lord for the missives that Dr. Heiser left behind for our edification. While not equivalent to Scripture, they do, indeed, change the way I read Scripture, and even how I pray. Blessings on all of you who keep his work alive! 🙏

Marcion was not gnostic and he belived that the old testament god was evil and for good reasons...there are some atrocious things done by "god" on the old testament like idk killing all the first born children .... Jesus would never do anything like that ...he taught to forgive....turn the other cheeck.....he told the Pharisees and the Saducess "you worship uour father the devil, he is the father of lies" and what kind of father when asked for something to eat would give them a snake.....there are alot of good reasons to think this so i have come to the following conclusion ...either Marcion was right and the old testament god is evil and is not Jesus' father OR as it says in Corinthians....Satan himsepf disguises himself as an angel of light so then it must be satan pretending to be god bc rember even Jesus said NO ONE has seen the father accept me

I got this out of GPT. Am i crazy or what? "The concept of a "one world religion" and the notion of "Gnostic Hermetic Communism" as a potential manifestation of it represent different interpretations of global ideological and spiritual movements. Here's a comparison and contrast between the two: **One World Religion:** 1. **Unity of Belief**: The idea of a one world religion suggests a universal belief system that transcends cultural, religious, and geographical boundaries. It implies the convergence or synthesis of diverse spiritual traditions into a singular, global faith. 2. **Centralized Authority**: In some interpretations, a one world religion might be characterized by a centralized religious authority or institution that governs doctrine, practice, and religious affairs on a global scale. This could involve the establishment of a hierarchical structure with religious leaders or institutions exerting influence over adherents worldwide. 3. **Peace and Harmony**: Proponents of a one world religion often envision it as a means of promoting peace, harmony, and cooperation among diverse peoples and cultures. By transcending sectarian divisions and promoting universal values, such as compassion and tolerance, it is believed to foster mutual understanding and reconciliation. 4. **Criticism and Resistance**: Critics of the idea of a one world religion raise concerns about the potential loss of cultural and religious diversity, as well as the imposition of uniformity at the expense of individual autonomy and freedom of belief. There are also concerns about the concentration of power and authority in the hands of a single religious institution or leadership. **Gnostic Hermetic Communism:** 1. **Syncretic Ideology**: Gnostic Hermetic Communism represents a syncretic blend of philosophical, spiritual, and political ideologies, drawing from traditions such as Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Communism, and Occultism. It combines elements of mysticism, social theory, and revolutionary politics into a comprehensive worldview. 2. **Emphasis on Transformation**: Gnostic Hermetic Communism emphasizes the pursuit of spiritual and societal transformation, viewing the individual and collective liberation as interconnected processes. It seeks to transcend material and social constraints through inner awakening and collective action, aiming for a utopian society based on egalitarian principles. 3. **Radical Critique of Power**: This ideology often includes a radical critique of existing power structures and social hierarchies, advocating for the overthrow of oppressive systems and the establishment of a classless, equitable society. It challenges conventional notions of authority and hierarchy, seeking to dismantle systems of domination and control. 4. **Esoteric Practices**: Gnostic Hermetic Communism may incorporate esoteric practices and rituals as means of spiritual development and political empowerment. These practices can include meditation, ritual magic, and symbolic acts aimed at channeling spiritual energies and effecting social change. In summary, while both the concept of a one world religion and the ideology of Gnostic Hermetic Communism envision global unity and transformation, they do so through different lenses and with different emphases. The former focuses on spiritual unity and universal beliefs, while the latter combines spiritual and political ideologies in pursuit of radical social change."

Christians do vary on the women pastor issue. There's a lot of Christians that believe it's a sin for women to be pastors, and there's a lot of Christians that believe it's not a sin for women to be pastors. The reason why many people have differing opinions about the women pastor issue is because it's very hard for people to determine whether 1 Timothy 2:12 is a cultural specific situation of Paul and Timothy restricting the women from Ephesus that were teaching Gnosticism from being pastors or a universal situation of God not wanting any woman to be a pastor of a church. The context of 1 Timothy is about Paul and Timothy ministering to the people in Ephesus, and Ephesus did have a huge problem with women that were false teachers teaching Gnosticism to people. A lot of information in 1 Timothy is universal, and a lot of information in 1 Timothy is culture specific. It's very hard to tell if 1 Timothy 2:12 is a universal principle or a culture specific principle. If 1 Timothy 2:12 is a universal principle, that proves how women shouldn't be pastors. Some people use the "husband of one wife" argument to prove it's a sin for women to be pastors. 1 Timothy 3 talks about how pastors need to be the "husband of one wife". Some people think that when the Bible says that pastors need to be the "husband of one wife", it means they have to be men since husband implies man. The phrase "husband of one wife" isn't meant to be taken literally. If "husband of one wife" were meant to be taken literally, that would mean single people can't be pastors because husband implies being married, but there's strong evidence in the Bible how it's not a sin for single people to be pastors. Paul and Timothy were pastors of churches, and they weren't married, and God approved of them being pastors, which is strong evidence how it's not a sin for single people to be pastors. The Greek word for "husband of one wife" is Mias Gunaikos Aner, which means one woman man, someone who doesn't struggle with adultery, etc. When the Bible says pastors need to be the "husband of one wife", it means they need to be people who don't struggle with adultery, who aren't players, who aren't womanizers, etc. Some people think that since the word "He" is used a lot in 1 Timothy 3 to describe qualifications of being a pastor, he means that women can't be pastors. 1 Timothy 3 says "he must not be quarrelsome, he must be the husband of one wife, he must be trustworthy", etc. The thing is all throughout the Bible when the word "He" "Men", etc is used, the situation applies to both men and women. When Matthew 10:37 says that "He that loveth a father or mother more than me is not worthy of me", the situation applies to both men and women. Proverbs 22:6 says "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from me". Even though the word "He" is used in Proverbs 22:6, the situation applies to both men and women. When Ephesians 4:8 says "God gave gifts to all men", the situation applies to both men and women even though the word men is used. When Matthew 5:28 says "Whosoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery in his heart", the situation applies to both men and women, the situation applies to men lusting after women, the situation applies to women lusting after men, etc. Some people use the argument how it's not a sin for women to be pastors due to Priscilla being a pastor. Priscilla in the Bible wasn't a pastor. Priscilla in the Bible was a ministry leader but not a pastor. I can't find any examples of women pastors in the Bible. It's very hard to tell if 1 Timothy 2:12 is a universal principle or a culture specific principle. If 1 Timothy 2:12 is a universal principle that isn't a culture specific principle, that would prove how it's a sin for women to be pastors.

When those verses were recorded, as well as the Ten Commandments, the Hebrew language did not exist. The Ten Commandments were more realistically probably written in the Egyptian written form of hieroglyphics. This being demotic or nemotic depending on your version of the spelling. The book of Job and the Noah story are the oldest histories in the Bible. Don’t waste your time on splitting hairs and concentrate on obeying GOD.

It's funny that each generation redefines the meaning of the Bible in which, really nobody knows the actual reality of it. Go find the leading authority on the Bible and he'll tell you a whole different story about what it actually means. This planet was seeded from other forms of life in the galaxy. The Roman's made up the story of the Bible to keep people docile cause their would've been revolts against the Roman's. There has been a few civilizations on earth throughout its beginning that get wiped out by God cause he failed. People think that they know, but don't cause over time, people's knowledge of this gets misconstrued.

Gen 1:6-8 describes how God created the Heaven on the second day; therefore, Gen 1:1 is not saying that the Heaven was already there prior to the events of Gen 1:2-5, the first day. In like manner, Gen 1:1 is likely not saying that the Earth was already there prior to the events of Gen 1:2-5, the first day, either. So, what purpose is left for Gen 1:1? It likely serves as a summary introduction of the events detailed in the verses that follow it. ------- Gen 1:6-8 KJV 6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Earth is Yahweh’s Everlasting Lake of Fire, his furnace of roaring flames where, in his furious wrath, he will gather you up, put you in, and smelt you. If your name is not in the book of life, he will refine you, remove your dross, and purify you until the Devil, the False Prophet, and the Beast are cleansed from you. The Father is great than I. Adam, the Christ, wields the fiery sword and judges the world. Yahweh judged the heavens themselves. Adam had a university of trees to learn from. Further, Adam was not deceived before being sent out from the kingdom prepared at the foundation of the world, the heavenly home, or Garden of Eden. Jesus is lifted up like the Serpent (Yahweh) in the desert after he judges the world. On the day of the great slaughter. On the day he binds up the wounds left from his blows. Jesus judged the world and was made to be sin as the Lawless One, the Beast, Leviathan etc. Yahweh judged the heavens themselves and was made to be the snake, the Ancient Serpent of Old, and they are transfigured and revealed to be the Ancient One of Days with Christ washing his feet. To 'strike at' the head or heel means to watch over, guard, or protect. Snake means Shining One, Glistening One - Morning Star, or the light of the world. While there is enmity between the two, the plan is one of salvation. I.e. Jacob strikes at the heel of Esau, who protects, guards, watches over, or otherwise serves Jacob. During this period, Adam is the word of the will of Yahweh, the lamp of the light of Yahweh, and the image of the substance of Yahweh. There are two appearances, the sacrifice and the resurrection. They take place within the same generation, at the end of the ages, the time of the harvest. They are the First Beast and the Second Beast. Christ (Adam) wields the fiery sword on the day of vengeance as judgment. Are they, Christ and Yahweh, unjust to inflict wrath? Of course not. How else could they judge? Warning of the impending Day of the Lord, he was swallowed by the Beast out of the Sea (sacrifice) and spewed out upon the shore as the Beast out of the Earth (resurrection), as the sun beat down upon his head and a burning east wind began the Way of the Lord in the Desert. Yahweh and Christ/ Satan and Adam/ Jacob and Esau/ Behemoth and Leviathan/ David and the Son of David/ Peter and Jesus... are the same two individuals. David, your king, rides the Donkey and the Bride of David rides the foal of the Donkey. In the beginning, darkness covered the kingdom of the Abyss, the people were empty and void of understanding, having become corrupted, and he shielded you as the apple of his eye. All are sinners cast down to earth with the God of this world. The ruler of this world has been condemned. Now is the time of judgment on this world; now will the ruler of this world be driven out to inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. Jesus' domain is forever peaceful. Jesus ascends beyond the heavens. A kingdom was prepared at the foundation of the world. One that is forever peaceful. The Ancient One of Days takes a seat upon a throne on the Mount of Assembly. Christ is the Root and Offspring of Yahweh (David).

I agree with Heiser a lot and am defintely grateful for his rediscoveries and sharing what he found. It has helped me immensely understand the Bible. That being said some of these comments are disturbing and it seems that there are people who care more about being right than being a Christian. Heiser could be prideful at times, which was unfortunate, but he was a sinner just like the rest of us. Use what he discovered, like I do, to answer younger unbelievers questions about God, Jesus, the Bible, “aliens”, or whatever. It’s pointless to hate the old churches and their politics, keep moving forward and spread the Gospel. God bless.

Yes - they are bearing Gods Name. They are his chosen people and treasure. If they live in sin and idolatry they are bearing that Name in vain. That’s what the command says NOT to do. It means you can bear the Name in a sinful way so as to bring dishonor to the Name. In baptism, the Name of God is set upon us and we can either bear than Name faithfully or in vain.

Should we WORSHIP Jesus or worship Jesus? . The verb σεβομαι (sebomai) means to revere, worship or do homage to, particularly accompanied with feelings of shame or humility. It basically expresses the sentiments of an inferior, weaker or less formidable party when facing a superior one. But although it's tempting to read a typically religious quality into our verb, religious reverence the way we moderns know it is essentially political and stems from the idea that the deity is a king - a willful ruler who comes with an extended government of dignitaries, spokespeople and enforcers - which is a relatively modern invention. Our verb appears to have originated in a time when tribes were family groups governed by their own elders, prior to the kind of social stratification that would support complex centralized governments, and therefore, probably, expresses reverence for natural forces (the wind, thunder, bigger animals).
