Isaiah 7:14 was originally a prophecy given to King Ahaz of Judah in the 8th century BCE during a political crisis. The prophecy promised a sign that God would protect Judah from its enemies. The "Immanuel" child ("God with us") seems to symbolize a reassurance of God's presence and protection in that historical context. The Hebrew word translated as "virgin" is ‘almah, which more accurately means "young woman of marriageable age" rather than explicitly indicating virginity.

Short answer: no. There are other resurrection myths, too. But on closer inspection, they're all pretty whacky. Feminine of elem; a lass (as veiled or private) -- damsel, maid, virgin. The earliest reference is in Genesis and clearly a virgin.

You are right there Sir 🙏 *Isaiah 7:14* (5959) The Virgin / *Hā.'al.māh* The Hebrew Word for Virgin is *be.tū.lāh* (1330) But *hā.'al.māh* (5959) is Also used for Virgin as in the Case for Rebecca *Genesis 24:16* Virgin / be.tū.lāh (1330) *Genesis 24:43* Damsel / hā.'al.māh (5959)
