You’re not alone! We support you but the interaction with people is important. You looked so happy with the Argentinian people in Mendoza. There is lots of good people in Chile that will welcome you! I have family both in Argentina and Chile and everyone will love to offer you a place to stay for free. 😉

Thanks for letting us into your thoughts about your sporadic loneliness. Remember that these feelings are sporadic and that they mean you have someone worth missing. Missing someone (or everyone) is also a sign that you have goid people in your life and that you may want to keep a bit up with them when you have wifi. Ultimately, you have to remember to enjoy the travelling while it lasts (all that stuff with the journey and the destination) - it will get harder at some points, but you will never get any day back, and every day riding the tuktuk with your best friend is a day to enjoy. Although she doesn't speak to you, she speaks to you, if you know what I mean ♥️ Also, I noticed you've been trying some new edits recently. They are cool! :)

Piece of advice whenever you get to a new city try to look for other travelers or overlanders cause most of time they know where you can find a safe spot to spend the night. There's a lot of overlanders towards the south of Chile and in Argentina too.

Good work capturing the stress of the situation. I've tried this a few times and it freaks me out knowing I might be "discovered" at any point. Ear plugs are the only way I get any rest.

Greetings from Santa Cruz! Love your trip! Just a tip: introduce yourself with your name from time to time or put it in your bios on socials, too. I think it's Ryan, isn't it? I guess it helps to connect to you and Patti even more. Have a nice one!

The only thing cheap in Chile is the scenery I would want a strong flashlight/torch when camping that could be turned on any people at dark if needed What kind of distances are you trying to cover each day.?..a rough plan?
@aussieespanol7 ай бұрын
That’s a great idea. We just go with the flow. More or less when it gets dark we find a camp

Am sure you’d be safer and less anxious in a normal camp site rather than an isolated forest, where you never know whose lurking, tranquility is great but be mindful. Cuídate

Aussie, does ioverlander app not work well in chile, your not the first to travel to that area. You shouldn’t put yourself thru this. If people are trashing that area, they can’t be good people. You sort of have instinct, not sure I would trust your instincts. Please connect with some van life folks in that area. Be safe your in my prayers. 🙏
