Super funny that you asked for sopa and they gave you sopaipillas, hahaha, sopaipillas are incredible with Avocado and we eat them o pebre , give it a chance! Hey..the "fried bread" isn't bread..we call it SO-PAI-PILLAS and you can eat them with almost anyhing you want on top... 🥑 A mix of tomatoes, onion, lemon, and a green thing (can't remember the name in English 🤣) or... My favorite= sweet sirope with cinnamon and other stuffs, hot in the middle of winter 🤤🤤

At the beginning you asked for sopa and she gave you sopaipilla (that sort of a fried bread). Maybe she thought you were abbreviating sopaipilla. Why won’t you stay in Chile for some more days? You could travel south in direction to Coyhaique (carretera austral) and then cross to Argentina. The Chilean side in that section is far more beautiful than the Argentinian.
