So sorry to hear the bad news of your dad. My prayers for him. Life is too short, we never know what tomorrow will bring. I lost my younger sis unexpectedly due to aneurysm in 2019. She was not only my sis, but my best friend. I am still grieving and it has been over 5 yrs. Then 6 months later my mom passed. Mom’s death was not a surprise, as she was 95.

The deck will be just fine, & you will be putting on another coat on it. Down the road, if you can even see the different colors, it will all work out, don’t worry, be happy!! If anyone says anything, tell them you planned it that way!

Good choice purchasing the Cabot products. They are the best!!! Well worth the $50+ price. Our deck/back porch/deck/Adirondack chairs have lasted 8 or 9 years covered. Edges of porch need refinishing. Portion under the roof still looks great. Good luck with yours.

Maybe you can restain the whole thing in a more translucent paint versus stain. I'd say wait until you're done with all the construction before being terribly concerned about everything being the exact color & the finish perfect.

The deck is looking good. I agree wait a couple of weeks then retreat it. Just an idea for weed control. At Tractor Supply they sell RM43. It is a total vegetation control. It’s great around your fence line and around your deck. It will kill the roots. It is a little pricey, but my dad used it and weeds and small trees died off. It last a long time. As always stay safe, stay healthy and keep your powder dry 🤙🤙😎🤙🤙

That sprayer works great huh. Told you. Believe it or not the wood will stain differently depending on if it came from the same tree. Different trees take on moisture different from others. I wouldn't worry about it the sun will age it and it will look the same. It's looking great.
@bikerchic79384 ай бұрын
I think I have a solution to all the issues with the grain bin home...I think all the open deck space should be framed up so a single level wall goes around most of the decking.. Frame it so you could put in 2 bedrooms in the front, as well as laundry rooms, storage,, utilities xtra bathroom, laundry etc... You would still have enough of the round structure showing that people would still see what it was... You could do this after you get the inside built

On your 32' sq. deck you could build two different homes . Number one is a 452 sq. ft. round grain bin with a 225 upper deck , OR You could build a 1024 sq. ft. 2 Bd. 2 bath, utility room with a lot of extra living space and kitchen .The choice is yours to make .
