When it comes to snow and ice it's best to drive safe. Slow and easy. No time for egos . Unfortunately at times even when you do everything right this will happen. I was taught a valuable lesson once to open my eyes. God bless all and be humble.

I never drove during winter , this will be my first time , are you supposed to just drive slow at all time ?

Drive for the conditions most of time it's ok they treat rds but before and right after beware especially when it freezes

Never assume! Be alert during snow,rain. Drive slow. Keep your distance, never travel in groups, and never drive faster than your reaction time. Keep control of how you respond. Depends on what you're hauling tank,flatbed, and / or if you're loaded or unloaded. As that can affect how your reaction will be affected, look ahead, not just what's around you. always leave yourself an out.. safe travels

It depends on the conditions. Obviously if you know its slick or icy or visibility is bad, drive slower. Always keep as much distance as you can ahead. Unfortunately cars in any weather will jump in front of you if there is a lot of space which causes you to drive even slower. If you have to drive in bad weather always go slow and expect the unexpected.

I was taught/trained that in less-than-ideal road conditions, SLOW DOWN: the WORSE the conditions are, the MORE you slow down.
