Those Mercy res's while being booped 7,000 feet backwards are just like the Rein pins. I'll be inching closer to a dead teammate and seems like I have to be right on top of them to res, but an enemy Mercy seems to be able to res a teammate that died on low ground when they're standing on high ground and around a corner and being booped backwards. I hit an enemy tank dead center with Rein pin and they go flying off to the side but if I'm playing Lucio and going mach 3 about 25 feet away from a charging Rein he'll snatch me out of the sky. I swear Reins have grabbed me when I'm behind them during a charge.

Yeah I've watched stuff like that it annoys the crap out of me with a mercy in valk like a story off the ground still getting the res.

easy enough to res someone on the low ground when you're on high if you crouch, connect to the soul, there's 2 meters of distance you can move once it starts. intended. if you don't want to get booped as far when you rez, hold down your shift button so you don't travel as far away. just like when you're in hog ult, you wouldn't hold it to slowly stay inside of it, you hold it to keep the distance between you and your rez target.

u just dont know how mercy rezes work then lol when rez starts the area u can be away from the soul increases and that with a sj makes it easier to secure them 😅

Ways to improve in Overwatch, recognize that there is 3 dimensional space on nearly every map, and that most players sit in the middle of the map, on the ground; pretending Overwatch is a hallway simulator.

the illari ult not getting cleansed thing is because once the sunstruck effect has gotten enough damage and is abt to detonate it cant be cleansed

I would like to point out, this was at the end of like an 8hr play session and I was absolutely cooked. I played a lot of heroes I don’t typically play in this, my dva playtime pre-ow2 was basically like 10mins? something tiny like that, so I did have to learn that hero from the beginning in an upward hill battle. Watching a vid from 3 months ago is showing me how different I play now. My mechanics weren’t exactly the best here, but my map control and setting up is definitely sub-par here. It feels like some games I make all the right calls, and others it’s very 50/50. I’ve since climbed further playing mostly winston, am now comfortably at masters 4-5.

The suzu not cleansing sunstruck happens to me all the time. Ive cleansed a single teammate and the clean animation has happened but they still are sunstruck and blow up

it's a tricky ultimate to cleanse, be sure you're not confusing other detonations for the ones you cleanse. When you cleanse the sunstruck ultimate the slow and yellow effects stay, but you won't blow up. It's something thats panicked me and my team a lot, where I cleanse them and they go "IM STILL YELLOW" but they're not going to blow up. Alternatively, if you cleanse majority of the people hit, but not all of them and a person dies before the detonation it leaves behind their explosion, and it explodes similar to a bastion nade. Making it appear (if your teammate died to it) that they died to their own detonation.

@@walker1686 What I said, is if it does not cleanse another teammate and they die before the explosion goes up, it will leave behind their explosion that explodes as an aoe. similar to a bastion nade.

Kiriko really has felt really buggy for a while now. I don't know what they did but it feels awful to play sometimes. The swift step doesn't work. Suzu doesn't cleanse and I've recently had a lot of games where she doesn't have the healing animation and instead her arms stay still and throwing kunai feel laggy.

The first time winton used bubble was to test the skill level of ashe. If they keep shooting it, they are probably not that good because you wasted 5 seconds of their time with your team pushing payload relatively uncontested. It wasn't a mistake. It's a diamond/plat strat to know if you're good to dive them in the future without instantly blowing up from headshots.

Its hard tanking when all the enemy tank + dps do is counter you. Getting players like the Reaper/Bastion/Sym and the Ram/Zarya can be very frustrating, especially when your team piles the blame on you.

17:48 sunstruck doesnt cleanse if its already been detonated. it will even follow moira & kiri to the other end of their shifts

I’ve spent a lot of games coaching people against Zarya. It’s easy when the whole team is on the same page: ignore the Zarya and don’t hit her as much as possible, and go for the squishies first. Zarya will fall over without her team regardless of charge. That goes for everyone, but Zarya is so powerful when she’s being targeted. Other tanks don’t have that same power when being attacked other than Mauga. Where you can absolutely shred most tanks by aiming at them first and ignoring everyone else, Zarya feeds off of that, and you’re far more likely to fall over instead. Take it slow, take out the back line, and keep an eye on bubble usage. I cannot believe I had to tell a soldier to stop shooting Zarya bubbles, because they didn’t realise it charged her and thought it was just a shield. I need to get out of the bowels of Bronze already bro.

4:30 The problem I have with this is, im in Gold/Plat and coming from competitive COD where map control is extremely important.... I immediately picked up on getting map control in OW. But I find in my ranks my teammates almost never set up after fights. They love just sitting on the payload or the point and waiting. Should i then sacrifice my personal map control and stay with my team? If I set up before a fight & none of my teammates do I end up feeding if I dont win the dual or get pressured out, then it feels really bad because I felt like I was making the right play but my teammates insisted on giving up all map control and camping on point. Any pointers on this? Im assuming I should just bite the bullet and stay with the team but I feel like its a team fight loss waiting to happen by just sitting on cart.

I try to do something in between but its really map dependent tbh. If im on DPS and my team wants to just dance on point, Ill try to take a much softer off angle than I was originally planning, or one thats a lot safer

Should have most likely just stayed Winston. Seems to fight your playstyle the best. Little too aggressive on the Rein and the dba was fine except I recommend shooting the second bubble even if it charges Zarya. Counted at least 5 times where you could have popped it and killed her

Yeah, I’d agree honestly. I played the rein because I didn’t expect their zarya to be able to set up high ground, which they didn’t- but their team absolutely did, which caused us to have a messy 2nd and snowball heavy. It gets difficult to know if I’m just being a shield bot and not providing any pressure on rein so I get too eager to do something. Thanks for your take tho

Its so hard to hit masters by pure luck trust me, diamond I can see, but the reason why I say that is because Diamond is so shit. It's such a pain to climb out of and I personally don't consider it good. Masters is when players start to actually have brain cells
