Kashtira is Diablosis support. Is a psychic rank 7 and even the color scheme fits the deck. Konami knew what they were doing.

I didn't even realize Diablosis was released before Kashtira. Never have played against them or ran into Diablosis until I saw Diablosis had Number 89 meaning it's from the Zexal era. I just assumed it was a Kashtira card in replays and stuff. Konami knew what they were doing.

That's also true for a lot of rank-7s though. Konami seems to design card art to reflect the card type/level. You see this elsewhere too; e.g. Alpha looks like it's in the same archetype as Bigfoot.

Gimmick Puppet only cares about the newest mons (Humpty Dumpty, Terror Baby, Bisque Doll, Magnet Doll), the old Dreary Doll, and the Extra Deck mons. The other mons are garbage (Main Deck GP mons are not supposed to battle because they're Xyz fodder! You're not supposed to be losing your ED mons because they're supposed to clear the field and go for game!).

I 100% agree that updte jammer is the issue with accesscode decks, if we are going to have a monster thaat potentially gins 3000 atk just for being summoned, and 2-5 pops, giving it the ability to otk you, agian just because you took a single extra step in making it is really stupid, especially considering all of its effects cannot be responded too, and most decks that run it can do so from 1 card in hand.

I would say it's problematic in the sense that any deck I can drop it, the fact that a control deck can do the same damage as a deck designed to be purely aggressive feels a bit unfair, especially when you can't defend yourself.

This is one of the best banlist we’ve had in a few years. Every hit was absolutely justified when looking at what was to come. Diablosis was overpowered in kash. Cyber stein (Konami don’t like ftks) Expulsion made a bad deck unfair. Scarecrow was due to weaken a deck that could literally play through 4 hand traps and still combo because of the link. Delicious memory was necessary because once mini noir releases did untouched the deck would have been borderline tier 0. Arise-heart is just really strong at anything above 1. Blaster is about to be cracked (you can laugh that’s fine) Circular to 1 was honestly pointless but eh. Gamma to 1 was super necessary because of the power creep it went from barely played to the best handtrap in the game Only problem was denlong coming off the list cause the card is degenerate

For those wondering about the Superheavy Samurai Scarecrow ban: @yacine656 shows some combos starting with Soulpiercer and any other monster that leads to Baronne, Apollousa, and Regulus that can play through both Ash and Nibiru. Multiple Scarecrows can recycle 1 Soulpiercer for multiple searches in one turn. (One wonders why Konami didn't simply limit Scarecrow instead of forbidding it.)

Always love Farfa uploads. Stein is a remnant from a bygone era that we should very much leave behind; it wasn't properly designed back then, wasn't errata'd since then, and doesn't belong to the modern game more than it did in its own era. Kashtiras could've been fun, but in an attempt to purposefully slow down the speed from Tear 0, Konami showed how there are many ways to create an unhealthy format. I never used Gamma, so I can't judge if it's good or bad. Same with Expulsion; I only kept track of Branded for the lore, but not the actual playstyle. The hit to Purrely is sad; I never played them, but I like its theme, and I don't think they are in a position of power dominant enough to deserve being limited. Same with Naturia; the non-once per turn omni-search is an amazing effect, but Naturias don't have almost anything to use it on. They finally reached a semblance of stability with Runick, so I hoped Naturia could finally stand as their own strategy, but this hit is devastating. Alas, I think I'll study these cards that got hit; there are many I don't understand like Denglong, and the Dragon Ruler, so it'll be fun to be more in touch with the game.

It doesnt matter how braindead a deck is, when it allows other decks to be played, its more acceptable, then a less braindead deck, that pushes out everything else.

The only Kash hit that "did something" besides Diablosis (wasn't necessary most of the time especially when going for it ends you on world's biggest Nib token) is the Ariseheart to 1. Not because 2 was ever super relevant, but because Cherries is a real handtrap now potentially especially in VS.

It going to one and diabolos going to 0 does restrict what they can do with their kash heavy hands a lot. Its a better hit than what people gave credit for but so long as shifter is legal the deck is going to be tier 1

@Shawn Javery and we lose Gamma as an out to Shifter. Granted it didn't always come out depending on gamestate if you are going FIRST (since you almost never Shifter on empty board), but if Kash goes first and opens Shifter you actually don't have an out to them dropping it on their own turn.

Denglong can go in swordsoul. But it's pretty eh and you're running additional cards that brick up your consistency to do it. Making it isn't guaranteed either so you're running only potentially playable bricks for ding dong to maybe get you 1 omni negate.

For Farfa: Explanation for Purrely Delicious Memory Limit: Delicious Memory is an important card bc it gets to the most important Rank 2 ED Monster Purrely "Epurrely Plump" which lets you attach spells/traps from grave to it for more material to make the Boss Monster "Expurrely Noir". Delicious Memory is critical for summoning Plump bc There isnt really an easy way to get 5 materials for Noir to let it be unaffected by your opponent otherwise. Limiting it also prevents you from Hard searching it with the Continious Spell "My Friend Purrely". It can reveal 3 Purrely Quick play spells and adds you a random one of the 3. Before you could reveal 3 Delicious and add 1 of them. This is no longer possible. This has now a 33% Chance in doing so. And even if you manage to get Noir unaffected it still isnt that big. Delicious gets it that big stat boost that a Tower monster needs to stay on the field.

As someone Who didnt play competitive for a while, can someone explain to me how hard it was to play around gamma ? To me it's one of the Best designed handtrap. High risk/reward but it was a heavy restriction. Did People just shotgun droll and shifter before waiting for the opponent to have at least a monster of the field so it turns off their gamma if they have one ? Accel synchro and baronne are clearly the problem cards by far from what I see

I would have preferred a Shangri-Ira ban over Diablosis. Shangri-Ira limits card design by making it so any time cards are printed that banish your opponent's cards face down you have to worry about it being used for the Kashtira zone lock.

I have my own conspiracy theory that this Banlist release was for the benefit of the Vendors at these large events. Vendors were able to purchase cards like Ulti Fenrir and the like for low cost on Friday due to cards tanking during Banlist Season fears and then immediately throw out stock of newly spiked cards due to the Banlist announcement for the rest of Saturday and Sunday. Effectively allowing them to buy low and sell high. Due to the rise in popularity of online sales from pages like YGO Black Market, as well as players communicating on social media in order to meet up outside of the venue for IRL transactions, Konami may be trying to appease vendors in unique ways.

Also, hot take, but a banlist dropping mid-event is a huge W for top level players. The players that allowed themselves to be distracted, unmotivated, bothered, or overly-excited about the Banlist announcement will be most effected for the rest of the tournament in ways that higher skilled players would not be. The ability to not let outside noise, news, spectators, etc. are all part of what helps make good players even better. It's a skill of its own. If you're too worried about the Banlist and it causes you to misplay and throw the next round(s), you weren't nearly as on top of your game as others.

It was/is a vital part of runik naturia. A pretty hated controll/mill deck with like 25 ways to discard/foolish it to turbo out Naturia beast or other degeneracy

Konami should really just put Engage to 3, so we witness Engage->search+draw Engage->search+draw Engage again. with like 3 link 1 skystrikers each prohibiting the activation of: spells, traps and monsters. Need to sell Striker support somehow, am i right?
