Wash Day Routine For Relaxed Hair

This is what my wash day routine consists of. In this video I show you guys how I wash my hair, and the things I use. I wash my hair once a week and flat iron it twice out the month. As my stretch begins to get longer my routine does change up a little bit but not by much.

Beautiful hair. When my hair was relaxed, it just got thinner and thinner and it never grew. it was horrible 😂 I was pressured to go natrual so it all worked out in the end i guess. but youre maintaining your hair! i dont see the problem with relaxers as long as its healthy. its really nice. 👍

My hair did not look this good while I was relaxed lmao If I had known the secret to healthy relaxed hair while I was in middle/high school, I would've had an easier time styling my hair! Lol so I leave the water running because it changes temperature when you turn it off and try to get that exact same temp. But relaxed hair is not easy to manage. It takes work just like natural hair.

However a lot of these naturals are "just starting to think relaxed hair is bad" because they just became old enough to realize. Lots of little girls from age 3 and up have sodium hydroxide slathered onto their strands for so many years they forget natural was an option. Do what you want to do, be who you want to be, relaxed hair can be enjoyable for you, it cannot for me😂

Thank you, and i don't know how your hair was before but for me what helped was going to a professional and stop getting box perms and stretching them so I only go to get it done once every 3 months. I did it this way because I had just went to college too and i didn't know anyone yet alone trust anyone in my hair like that so for the holidays or the 4 day weekend breaks i would just fly home to get my hair done! And take care of it while it was in a protective style while i was at school because i figure, if imma let someone damage my hair it better be myself who does the damage lol ! Felisa Ouedraogo if youre deep conditioning, doing a hot oil treatment every week, moisturizing nightly, doing protective styles, cowashing, and your hair is still unmanageable, id say take that leap. but if theres anything in your hair routine that could maybe use some work, then maybe make those changes. natural hair is high-maintenance but so is relaxed hair. sorry if im coming off as preachy, definitely not advocating either side. just know what i had to do in order to manage my hair.

Simply Shaye do not relax your hair girl all the protein in your hair will be broken aaaall the way down and after a while it gets brittle. but if you think you're capable of taking care of it then go right ahead.

In my opinion its the same process. It just looks different because my hair is straight. I wash, condition, deep treatment, style. Which is what naturals do. I try to treat my hair as if it is natural and not relaxed
