Working on a 3rd gen cabin air filter for mine. I have to change the evaporator so it apart. The mustang filters fit if you trim them a bit

what did you use for your radio setup on this truck? Looks like a you were able to retain the factory cubby with that aftermarket double-din. Very interested!

I mounted the radio and cut the the oem bezel to fit around it. If you look real close on the outside edge, you can still see just a small amount of the circle that went around the factory radio knobs.

It's a custom made electrostatic filter. It's still in the prototyping/testing phase for now. If testing is successful then I'm going to try to get a production version available for sale.

I just did mine it didn’t have a filter and the plastic wasn’t cut guess the factory forgot it

From what I know all 3rd gens dont have hvac filters mine dont my buddy's dont. Idk why they did it that way

I've cleaned it several times already. Its holding up just fine and seems to be catching a lot of dirt.

I found a company that made washable air filters for industrial hvac units and convinced them to make me one. Sadly, they don't make them anymore.

I had it made locally by a shop that used to make electrostatic industrial filters. Sadly, they quit making them.

This 4th Gen not 3rd third Gen is 02-05

Wrong. 4th Gen is 09+ 1500 and 10+ 2500 and 3500. It has a completely different HVAC box that already has a filter.

I just checked my 04 and it had no filter and it hasnt even been tampered with. Wonder if they just forgot to install one at the plant

This is the late (facelift) 3rd gen. Not a 4th gen.

Pony Chaser 3rd Gen ended in 09. DEF started in 13 I believe. Youre thinking of EGR which started in 07.5 on the face lifted 3rd gen.

All 3rd gen trucks share a similar HVAC system. It will work on every 3rd gen, but the dash on the early trucks is solid behind the HVAC box. It makes access extremely difficult.
