Kevins falsetto vocal run at 4.00 is so fucking incredibly groovy. It melted my psyche into liquid rainbows. Looking forward to seeing them in Wellington NZ after all this time :)

This live version is just absolute heavenly bliss to my ears. As well as all their other music 😁 this is definitely a treat though. Wish I was there.

It’s so interesting to see how insecure he felt about his singing voice live back when he was starting to take off

Julien’s bass drum is used to trigger Jay’s keyboard. E.g. Jay holds down the chord but the sound isn’t triggered until Julien hits the bass drum.

Santiago Martinez thank you! I was tryna figure out how it was so tight to the bass drum. Noticed at the end there his bass drum was triggering it. Wonder how they got it to trigger like that?

@@alexj3007 I've done this same thing with my band in the past and we mic'd the kick drum and used a VST synth running through Ableton. The synth had the "gate" effect on it and the gate was side chained to the signal coming from the mic in the kick drum. So any time the synth channel recieved an input higher that a certain level from the kick drum, it opened the "gate" and triggered the synth sound.
